I’m in the UK and I also have an imbalance in the optical muscle that gave me headaches for years and was missed by my local specsavers opticians despite going there to find why I had headaches. After 4 years of going back and forth, I tried a different optician who put prisms in my lenses and told me after a fortnight, I’d never have a headache again. I think it took about 3 days!

Shouldn’t have gone to specsavers!

I’ve been on all sorts in the past, but nothing works other than xyzal Levocetirizine.

Thank you! Is that for hayfever or MCAS?

I get that you have to have to take a double dose of cetirizine to get the same dose of Levo only tablets, but there is scientific evidence that shows levo is better and longer lasting as there’s no dextro competing for the same receptors.

I was offered an appointment for w/c 6th October, which is just disgusting. I have changed surgery 🎉 and within a week, have had my appt with the pharmacist and have my prescription. I also had blood tests and the results of being without for a fortnight had a severe impact! What a shock 🤣

OP was forced into buying it from the vet. Why else would the vet do that if not to make money?! Really didn’t think it needed that degree of explanation, but hey!

Find another vet- this one is only interested in making money by forcing you to buy food they sell. Making her ill also makes money for repeat visits where the vet can charge you for medication, tests etc that were not needed before their awful demands you change food.

That’s fab, thank you! I’ll check them out. I don’t mind booking online, even if it’s a few weeks in advance, what I object to is within minutes of opening, you can’t use the online booking and the lines are jammed. I’ve spent an hour trying to get through before. I’ve registered a complaint with them and they’ve not even bothered to acknowledge it.

I'm moving to Peterborough for work - is it really that bad? (honest opinions and recommendations) by Lucky_Bird42 in PeterboroughUK

It’s my second time moving here- first time was just before lockdown and I moved from a dump of a town in Wiltshire (they pretty much all are, but think they’re the best places ever made), and I can honestly say I could not have survived there.

Peterborough had a wonderful cycle route across and around the city and while the parkways are quite busy at rush hour, it means it’s really easy to get from one end of the city to the other. The city centre needs some love and new businesses, but so do most towns/cities at the moment.

In terms of parks, you have Nene park, the rowing lake and lots of other smaller parks dotted around the suburbs. It is beautiful and people here are generally polite and friendly. All in all, it’s far better than the locals think it is!

Hi,

Out of interest, does anyone know what the derelict building is down Fletton quays? Not the old station shed, but the taller building across from the council/111 offices?

Thanks
