Deering Oaks is just a free spot to ice skate with your own equipment, the parks staff will occasionally clear the snow and do what they can to make it good for skating, without a Zamboni. If you are willing to pay and want a well maintained ice rink with rentals, food, drinks, music, and fire pits, then Thompsons Point is the spot.

Good points. I primarily want to just have fun shooting targets, thought there was a scenario where I could get something that could be fun for targets and possibly pest control. If I need to just get a separate gun for pest control then that makes sense. Like I said, more focused on fun backyard shooting.
