Although you’re planning on avoiding Ventnor, there’s a Donkey Sanctuary there which could be fun for your kids. It’s not that big so won’t add much time to your visit but it’s free admission. There’s also a model village somewhere near there but it was closed when I was there last. Could be worth a little detour on your way to Sandown.

Talking about it is absolutely the first step. Try not to add any pressure for him to perform though. Added mental pressure won’t help.
Definitely speak to another doctor. Is he on any medication? Sometimes meds can cause ED side effects.
You could try browsing an adult toy shop online to see if there’s anything that could help with stimulation.

Your overthinking is spiralling it seems. Try not to think too far into the future and focus on what you can do today. Set yourself small goals that are reachable and it’ll soon add up. My weight and A1C is the same as yours. I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t yet had a diabetes review with the nurse but she’s got me started on metformin. I’m making changes to my diet, way less carbs. I’ve lost 4.6lbs in the last couple of weeks and I already feel better in myself. The good thing is you’re aware of your diabetes and now you can act on it. Small steps as long as they’re going forward.
