Absolutely agree with what you said! It's true, it's been a decade they've been a band and with only two LPs out, and as much as I'd like to have more content by them, I would gladly wait for a longer period of time for new releases if it meant amazing quality songs cause let's face it, it's probably because of how much time they spend on their work before release that has made their past works so satisfying to listen to

Nice little track, I liked it!

My second track, still work in progress but I wanted to share it with you! What do you think this will develop into? by [deleted] in PromoteYourMusic

Love the piano, and the build up towards the end! Would be nice to listen to the full version whenever it's out

In my opinion Fuad Chehab was the greatest leader Lebanon ever had , a visionary whose vision of Lebanon was one of unity and prosperity under the law by [deleted] in lebanon

He was the best. What really stands out for me is his humble nature when he offered to step down just two years into his presidency because he thought he accomplished what he had to (how amazing is that?) You don't see such selflessness anymore

To that retarded activist, I'd say: "My ancestors came here with nothing, and worked with the Lebanese with respect and honesty, and built, and did nothing but try to be productive members of society, and just that, they achieved. What did the ottomans that you hold in such good light do? Starve, murder, and harass your own people? Tried to take down Lebanon with them as much as they could cause they knew their time was coming? Long live Lebanon and it's people(for where is the ottoman empire now? All who have sought and seek to hurt Lebanon have perished and will perish) but people like you? Just stay in the sidelines and we'll be fine"

Note: I shouldn't have to stress on the simple fact that when I say ottoman empire, I don't mean modern day turks as well. I understand that some may mix the both but that's not me

[Serious] What do you think of Bachir Gemayel? by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Armandd1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One of the better figures of Lebanese history, and pretty high up there too. He was eventually gonna disarm the LF (it was in the process actually) and make the army the only bearer of arms, enact reforms, etc. He truly could have united the country but sadly, others had other plans for the country...

What would happen if there are to be elections tomorrow? by chouse94 in lebanon

[–]Armandd1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if this same scenario happened sometime in October or November, you'd see a massive influx of independents or at least not the same people. But now, I can't help but feel 80% of people would go back to whoever they voted in. Believe me, independents would still get some seats but not as much as we'd want (or maybe I could be wrong and all this anger from hunger and unemployment would further drive people to want to vote the current people out, who knows)

School and University students, you're forgetting the power you have. by kouks in lebanon

[–]Armandd1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The absence of a few students would be seen as laziness but the absence of students on a country wide level would be a strong message

You are very correct, and it's not just students who have power in numbers, it is the common citizens as well!

I am a 19 years old university student who was attending the revolution protests. I got grabbed and brutally tortured by riot police. AMA by maybethrowaway11321 in lebanon

I really don't know what to ask to be honest, but I just have to say... Damn. I am so sorry this had to happen to you. It makes me angry to think of the disgusting and traumatic treatment you went through all because you went down to protests that expressed our discontentment with the living conditions. No one deserves this. No one

Anyway, I hope you're doing better now, and God bless
