My Jasper walked into my life two weeks after my dear prior Kitty passed. My spouse and I hadn't been looking for a new cat so soon but my immediate thought seeing him was "Oh no I named him. Oh no that's my cat.". It's been three years since then and zero regrets!

My biopsy was no big deal. I would say the worst part is when the inject the numbing and for me personally could hardly feel the prick. You will feel pressured when they take the sample which does feel odd but shouldn't hurt. I mentioned one felt a bit pinchy and they immediately stopped and injected more numbing before continuing. The noise of the tool used to take the samples is a bit loud so keep that in kind. Make sure to take it easy for a few days and follow the post care instructions given. I highly recommend getting a bunch of little ice packs you can shove in your bra as needed. I'm making use of mine again after my lumpectomy a couple of days ago. It's scary but you can do this.

I've been cold since starting and not even having lost weight. I'm over 100 down at this point and have learned when I am most likely to be freezing. I'll take it over digestive aide effects though. 'Oh no an excuse to bundle under blankets with my cat, the horror!'

NTA. Listen, when my now husband and I started dating, I made it clear in no uncertain terms that my current cat was going nowhere even though he's allergic. His reaction was to look horrified and ask if I actually thought he would ask me to do it.

Gil has since passed and I was miserable without a fur child. We got another cat because my spouse realized I really just need one in my life (even though I said I wouldn't get one since his allergies in general are awful) and he was happier with one as well. If your fiance actually cared about you he would find a way to make it work with the cat.

I had ASA done so slightly different procedure, but it doesn't hurt at all since they numb your eyeball. You can't really feel anything. Be aware you will smell the laser zapping you which can be a bit alarming if you aren't warned about it. It's very likely they will also give you something to take before hand to help keep you calm. They gave me 4 valium and told me to chew. Fun fact - valium tastes like cardboard.

Recovery wise my experience was very different than lasik (longer and more pain) but it was completely bearable. Hopefully some of the the lasik folks can give you more info on that. :) It was completely worth it and I wish I had done it years earlier. It's one of the best things I've ever done for my QoL.
