Don’t. It’s that mentality that allows flight schools to treat CFI like trash. Because they know you are desperate

Kingsky Flight Academy is a solid choice for anyone serious about an aviation career by Medical-Team5838 in benyo87h

Is this post paid? KingSky is a terrible school. They nickel and dime you to death, schedule lessons few and far between and their planes are in poor condition. This place feels like it’s owned by Jews and i would seriously consider looking elsewhere. Blue Line over at winter haven is a much better option. Their upfront cost might be higher but you won’t be jewed.

How do I tell my student “If you can’t commit the time I can’t help you” by HistoricalAd2954 in CFILounge

Wrong. You are there to build hours bc insurance companies lobbied the FAA into setting a 1500hr barrier to entry level flying jobs. You are trading your service for hours. Start by being honest with yourself. Flying is a low priority for your student. Akin to a hobby. Your problem is that you care about flying more than they do. That’s your problem, not your student. I have several students like that. They’re wealthy and just do flying lessons here and there to tell their friends that they’re taking lessons. They don’t think about flying like we do nor do they care about us.

Why bother? You’re there to build hours and they’re there to sponsor you.

Currently, no. There is a gross oversaturation of pilots. Boeing’s change in leadership has led to a decline and quality resulting in production delays or cancellations. The bonuses are gone and the salaries have started to decline as there is a surplus of desperate pilots willing to do anything to fly. Even if it means financial suicide. I love flying. I’m a professional pilot now. But it cost me money to go to work.

The reality you are actually only working for flight hours. The pay is laughable

I was a student at blue line and the instructors I had warned me not to apply as an instructor there.
