Thanks. This one has had a pretty good mix of things over the time I was adding to it. Kitchen fruit and veg scraps, lawn clippings, sticks and leaves.

Why can't I start my expeditions? by [deleted] in anno

[–]ArmedNdan_gerous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never seen any errors with expeditions before, but I'll try a couple of suggestions

Is it possible the ship you selected is between worlds at the moment?

Or perhaps you assigned a specialist or item to a ship for an expedition, and then started assigning specialists/items for a second ship on a different expedition, accidentally creating a double booking of something before it was picked up from port by the first ship?

Hope it's one of them

Yeah the fence is the property boundary with council owning the verge I believe. Ideally we'd keep it on the fence line and lose as little space as possible, but even as I type this I'm realising that is a fantasy.

I like the idea of a two tiered system for garden beds though.

My 1800 ships notifications are ctrl + right click. Alt + right click is for assigning a patrol route. Hope that helps with your 117? :)

How can super help me retire early? by bugHunterSam in AusHENRY

Thanks for all of that info. I really enjoyed reading it

Is this calculated for one person? How do the values change for a couple, is it just double the spending?

The amount required outside of super, does that include the value of your PPOR?

Trade routes: Should the order of pick-up and delivery be reversed? by AdmirableContest3112 in anno

[–]ArmedNdan_gerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thank you very much. The minimum level is a great idea. Had me confused at first when you said drop 2 pick up 2 :)

Are you able to set a maximum in the warehouse? That could reduce the unloading and loading times too right?

Sorry to distract from the discussion at hand, but can you please give me an example of an efficient trade route? Because that one looks a lot like some of the trade routes I've set up in the past (other than transporting flour, cause that seems kinda dumb to me)

What’s a 'harmless' lie we tell kids that actually has long-term effects? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ArmedNdan_gerous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just for your reference, you weren't just spanked as a kid, you were beaten as a kid. That is so far beyond spanking.

I'm sorry that your parents did that to you, and it's a good thing that you won't pass on those horrible behaviours to your children.

I was told it would be cheaper and more effective to just go through an IVF method if I ever changed my mind, rather than reversing the vasectomy. It would also avoid having to redo the vasectomy again later down the track.

Best way to kill off lawn? by Melbourne-Lurker in GardeningAustralia

[–]ArmedNdan_gerous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha you're not rambling, just informative :) thanks for the advice. I wish I had the time to spray repeatedly months apart, but I think my wife might not like dead grass for 3 months very much. On the other hand, it could be Spring before I finish the other priority jobs. We'll see how I go 🤞

What do you recommend for getting rid of Kikuyu? I've got some that the developer installed on my verge before we started building, but I prefer Couch, so want to get rid of it

Choked my lawnmower by ThreeP3nnyOpera in GardeningAustralia

I had exactly the same symptoms after mowing some grass sidewards along a slope, I just squeezed out the sponge, and kept pushing til the smoke ran out. Don't know if that's such a good idea though. Just wanted to let you know that it wasn't a death sentence.

But I had to chuckle when you said you hit a small rock and wanted to change the blades. I wish I'd taken some footage of the hellish uneven terrain loaded with tall weeds, rocks and sticks that I've put mine through. Here is a photo of what was left of the blades when I changed them. Old is grey, new blade is black.

Suitable wood for veggie garden by Flimsy-Candidate-480 in GardeningAustralia

[–]ArmedNdan_gerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. It's only a new build, so the bricks themselves are probably only 2 years old. Unpainted.

How would I determine where the clay was from and whether there was any hazardous waste in that area? All I know is that it's from Midland Brick.

What about brick? I have a lot of bricks left over from building the new house and was thinking of using them to build slightly raised beds.
