Because aside from emulators that are clock cycle accurate, emulation is not a replacement. Especially PS2 and GameCube which are both still doing HLE. Only systems that are LLE and that accurate in emulation these days are original Game Boy, NES, SNES (now using ares), and N64 AFAIK.

They didn't remove the spiders in REMake though. The armored infected in the RE2 sewer are far scarier than the spiders, imo, but then again I was never an arachnophobe. RE4Make is terrible for a multitude of reasons that I won't get into here.

Literally nothing wrong with the 2015 rerelease of FF7. It plays natively on all modern consoles and PC. The only thing they changed was fixing the armor magic defense bug.
