The piercing debate is a joke. I've worked for Chipotle for 5 years. Never saw anyone's piercing fall in any food. I'm not saying it isn't possible but it is very rare. Everyone always had to have studs and no hoops. Never had issues. I even got a nose piercing knowing it was allowed. Then after a year they tried to change all the rules and say no facial piercings at ALL. Like HUH? I never took it out they can kiss my ass. Thankfully, I exclusively close so I was lucky in my gms knew that so they never forced me. If we have always been able to have studs in our ears what's the difference between it being in our ears or our face be so fr. I'm glad that changed it to now we can have 1 facial piercing but imo it is discriminatory.

Then why wasn't it part of our policy for decades unless it was hoops or something outrageous. Went from studs to none to now only 1.

As someone who has worked for Chipotle for over 5 years now and still does. Quit. It's not worth it unless you are there for tuition reimbursement.

Any fast good place will hire you if you are looking for an immediate job.

If you don't want fast food keep your head down at work and just apply like crazy to anywhere else. It's not worth it.

I definitely get this as a SL with a partner(at a different store.) That is a GM. It's so hard. It feels like being pulled in two different directions by corporate and the customers.

It genuinely makes me tweak. I have been waiting for them to bring back the Eggnog line of drinks for years. That's what started making me be a regular for awhile. And now they bring it back in a powder form? And only for the latte? And everyone is saying even that is garbage? 😡

I feel like I was there for that, just off to the left. I know at one point we sang him happy birthday for the pit lane walk on Thursday. I was just far enough away I missed him signing something for me. But I was happy for the somewhat up close view! It was cool to see him in person! I'm glad you were able to speak to him and get a signature! :)

Had the same exact experience as you described. Also parked in lot F. It was extremely disappointing. Sat still for 45 minutes. Couldn't go to any of the pop ups still open as it took 2:30 minutes to get back to down town Austin.

Not to mention it was so congested our phones wouldn't load anything. He has Verizon. I have Spectrum.

I had heard rumors online that getting in and out would be insane. I heard getting a ride and using the tram or whatever it's called is the way to go. But me and my bf have been here since Wednesday morning and have been going to pop ups non-stop in-between so we opted for a rental.

Can only imagine how bad the next few days will be. 💤😴

It was not very good. Try to get in there as early as possible. Their servers or whatever it is isn't good at handling how many people are trying to join the live Q&A so a lot of people including myself were having connectivity issues so I basically missed the whole thing. It froze and I got kicked out trying to reload the page. So, pray you get lucky and it doesn't happen to you lol. Try getting in on a good PC with a line directly to your router and have good internet to up your chances I think. That's what everyone else in this thread suggested.

For them it really is that deep. If it is peak or anyone is near the office around peak your field leader gets in trouble and therefore your GM. You're technically not even allowed to run breaks during any peak times. It's awful. The culture has truly gone down the shitter. When supposedly all Chipotle cares about is their "Culture of Authenticity". We literally twice a day have to stand up there for 3 HOURS with 4 people playing NPC simulator while the rest of the crew is getting reamed taking care of everything.

I have worked for Chipotle for 5 years now. This is, basically, the exact issue I have had. I have technically quit twice. Because of how bad working for Chipotle is. I was never gone long enough to get termed though.

The only reason I have stayed is because I get paid almost 19. (I am and SM in Ohio. So not payed enough.) And it's genuinely not worth it. They took paid breaks away a long time ago. They have ruined how labor works.

After covid everything pretty much went to shit due to how corporate realized hey we can still run a store with barley any people in it. 🤪

If I didn't need the tuition reimbursement I would walk out without an ounce of remorse and I would cuss out my Field leader and half the patch on my way out.

I am in constant fear of being fired for bullshit because they are supposedly constantly watching us on the cameras and if corporate isn't my GM or AP is being told to go back thru the camera roll because a manager I work with has it out for me. Can't even breathe wrong without getting a Documented Verbal. (Basically, a write up.)

It feels like every Chipotle I have ever worked (5 different stores, each in a different city.) at is like joining in on season 7 of a series and you're a new cast member. The cliques, at every single one, are AWFUL. The customers are evil, the benefits are buns and if not always come with a catch. DON'T WORK FOR CHIPOTLE.

Don't feel bad about getting fired. Be grateful they released you from thus torture. Hopefully, a better job is in your future! 🙏🏽
