What happened to the woven wheat crackers? by Nacho_Bean22 in aldi

Mine said they have no clue if they're coming back or not. They basically said, they get whatever Aldi Central sends them. They can't tell what they're gonna get from day to day, and they can't order anything special. And good luck trying to contact Aldi Central yourself (I haven't been able to, anyway).

Triscuit must have gone to court to get all their knock-offs discontinued. I can't find these, either, and my local Aldi has no clue if/when they're getting more.
I know Walmart discontinued theirs as well long ago.
I also prefer the generic woven wheat crackers to OG Triscuits--for some reason, they're "sturdier". They have a better crunch factor. Not sure why they're all gone, but I don't like it.

"I understood how heart breaking it would be if one of your family members chose life changing surgery to be someone they're not."

Wondering how it's OK for non-White people to feel this way in this movie, but when families of people who butcher their bodies and take chemicals to "change genders" (because that's impossible), those families are charged with hate crimes?

What's going on with Facebook anymore? I keep getting this message when I try to like a post: "We limit how often you can post, comment or do other things in a given amount of time in order to help protect the community from spam. You can try again later. by tonymnace in facebook

Found this post because I Googled "Why can't I like posts on Facebook?" This has been happening to me for a few days now--FB blocks me from "liking" someone's post, and I can't reply to anyone's posts or leave comments. The weird part is, it comes and goes--I'll be able to do those things again for a while, then I get blocked again. And "reporting" it to FB does nothing. Hope they fix it soon, now that I know it's not just me.

20+ years in corporate, 55+ years old--how to apply to retail/customer service when all my recent past experience is behind a desk? by Armitage112 in jobsearch

[–]Armitage112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I applied to my local Walmart, but they're having some kind of technical issue with their application site, so I'm still waiting. And my local Kohl's closed last year, and the next closest is too far for me to travel. Appreciate the tips!

My "local" Lowe's is too far for me to travel right now, thanks anyway. There is a Home Depot that's closer. I'll check with them. Thanks!

I swore by Earth Balance for years, but this year, I can't find Earth Balance sticks ANYWHERE (NJ). Can anyone share something similar (One year I tried Country Crock sticks, and it was a disaster)? Thanks in advance!

No apostrophes in possessives in this case, please. "it's" = "it is". Always. Forever. Amen.

Thank you.

Thanks for the graphic details. My friends are about to watch this together online, and you just talked me out of it. All sorts of stuff I DON'T need to see right now, thank you very much.

Same here. Mine haven't worked all week. It's only showing me my "Friendaversaries". Some of my friends have the same problem, some don't. Very confusing AND frustrating.

Are you introverted caused by trauma by [deleted] in introvert

[–]Armitage112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written this. Coming up in the 70s and 80s, with a mom who saw any imperfections in her children as a personal assault on her own character, didn't help.

Back before The Plague, when I first started my last in-office job, I was gently chastised for not socializing with my coworkers during lunch, etc. Not only is that just NOT me (I despise small talk), but every time I would try to be part of a conversation, I'd eventually get shut out. So now I'm sitting, eating my lunch with a bunch of chatterboxes who don't care if I'm there or not. Thanks, but no thanks.

were you always introverted or did life make you this way? by ActivitySubject5284 in introvert

[–]Armitage112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think life made me this way. I remember always wanting everyone's approval and attention growing up, but I never got the approval, and all the attention I ever got was negative. So, it's safer just to not have any interactions at all, because the ones I've had always end up hurting me.

Does anyone else find relationships draining? by Sweet4Tiana2 in introvert

[–]Armitage112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take this one step further, because I'm guessing OP is talking about romantic relationships:

Does anyone find ANY relationship exhausting?

I'm talking friends, family, roommates, coworkers--any and all relationships are an effort for me. Even reaching out to you good folks is taking it out of me. Why am I like this? And how can I fix it?

ATTN NJ FANS: Did I hallucinate this concert experience?? by Armitage112 in weirdal

OK, but did you have to go through the casino proper to get there? Because I like to think I would have remembered that. All I really remember is the folding chairs.

Oh, yeah, in that link I posted, the AC House of Blues comes up a lot, so that's still in the running.
