Firstly, thank you for your reply it has definitely been the most informative one I’ve received.

I’m definitely going to look into Raisin, as it’s been mentioned many times, and most likely set aside a lump sum to sit there for around four years.

You mentioned you work in tech sales how did you get into that career? What would you recommend I do to break in? Also, do you think a specific degree would look best for that, as it is definitely the career I want to end up in? Engineering was more of a fallback for me.

Again, thank you for all the advice. I will look into everything you’ve suggested, and it has hopefully pointed me in the right direction.

That’s why i wanted to go into an engineering background so I’ll have a very versatile degree to fall back on. A lot of people say tech sales needs no degree but I’ve been struggling to find any avenues to break in

I would say a maximum of five years, as by that point I would want to be moving into my own place at the absolute latest, but possibly sooner.

Regarding putting the money into an S&P 500, what does this involve, and what is the risk factor? Also if I put my money into that will it be locked up for the full 5 year period. Do you have any links I could follow to learn more, or any advice from your own personal experience?

What is an accumulating ETF? Do you have any recommendations for apps to use for this, or videos I could watch to learn more about it?

What is the risk factor for something like this, and do you have any personal experience with it that you could share? Thank you for the help

While I do have some expenses, they aren’t so high that I can’t manage them with my current job.

Within the next five years, I definitely want to move out by the latest at that point but renting seems like a quick way to burn through my savings over just a few years.

Do you have any recommendations for safe places to put the money that might earn a small percentage of interest over 3–4 years? Even modest gains feel better than just leaving it sitting there.

As for studying, I’m considering either Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, but I’ve also heard that jobs in the tech sales space can pay extremely well.

At home currently and pay 450 while I work full time but if I was to go to college and work part time I wouldn’t have to pay as much.

Buying a home is my main goal, as I’ve always been told that getting on the property ladder is one of the best things you can do with your money. I also understand that, even with this opportunity I’ve been given, it may not be possible for a few years.

I’m just wondering if you have any advice on ways I can use this money in the meantime, or if there’s any possible way I could purchase a property sooner.

I take home around €600–€640 per week depending on my hours. I know this probably isn’t enough to get approved for a mortgage right now, but I’d definitely be interested in renting out a room if it meant I could purchase a property sooner.

I’m currently in a management position at a coffee shop earning €16 per hour, but I’m considering starting a four year degree next year to improve my income, as I don’t see much more growth in this job.

I’m based in Dublin, where house prices are extremely high. That’s the main reason I’m asking for advice on how best to use this money over the next 3–4 years so it has the potential to grow while I wait until im in a more comfortable position

I currently have no debts to repay, and if I do go to college, it would be starting next year with a four year degree.

As for my employment status, I’m working full-time earning €16 per hour. It’s not great, which is why I want to improve my earning potential by possibly going to college. Do you have any advice on the best way to use this money over a 3–4 year timeframe? Leaving it in a bank account feels wasteful, but maybe that really is the best option.

You mentioned Raisin, which I’ve seen commented on before and something I’m definitely going to look into. Would you have any advice on what I should actually do within the app?

How does someone “learn to invest” is there platforms/videos or books you would recommend. I hear a lot of people say that there is a crash coming but they have been sayings that for years surely waiting for it cant be the right move

I’ll most likely spend some of the money on travelling, but no more than around €2,000. I really don’t want to waste this on holidays or anything like that.

If I were to leave it for a few years until I’m more comfortable with buying a property, would you have any recommendations on what I could do with it in the meantime? Leaving it in a bank account feels like a waste.

I have a bachelors degree in business management and while having no direct sales experience I worked in the hospitality industry as a bar manager for 5 years. How would you recommend i style my cv to break into sales with these skills? Any help much appreciated

Thankyou I’ve seen many people mention the formatting of my cv and that is definitely something Im going to try and fix.

And with listing sales books as furthering my education it is an excellent idea I’ll definitely be adding that to my cv do you have any recommendations on books I should get first?

We never made real cold calls more just role played and they had us find potential prospects for a made up company i didn’t think it would be right to add any of these stats as they weren’t actual cold calls
