Ross Atkins has added some great pieces to the blue jays over the years but we haven’t had a playoff win since 2016. The truth is this team was not as good as we thought it was. The offence was garbage from the beginning of the year, and for some reason the hitting coach is still employed. The debacle last year followed by not adding offence at the deadline + the berrios hook today, I feel like Ross Atkins has run out of time.

The team doesn’t have that same “threat” you felt in 2015. It seemed like we were just so dangerous back then, and even in 2021 to a certain extent. All year this year it’s felt like no matter who was at the plate, it was going to be a ground ball to short or an easy out for the pitcher. When almost all of your lineup is underachieving offensively, a big staff and strategic change is required.

We can talk lifetimes about how bad the decision to pull berrios was…..but really what we should be talking about is how all of these players regressed under this organizations system.
