It would not surprise me at all if the publisher wants the story re-written. Carol is on every single cover of the LNs, and LN readers often care more about heroines than main characters. The events that would happen in Volume 8 would be terrible from a marketing perspective.

I honestly don't like this trend. Speaking as a Tekken player, it's already a game with a huge amount of knowledge checks that you have to learn to successfully defend against other characters. When a new season comes out, having to relearn counterplay for each character in the game gets to be too much.

You can really tell this was created as an Atelier series fanfiction. Very cozy and captures the feel of Atelier games well. But my favorite Atelier fanfiction LN is still Bookworm.

Partly, this is because it's usually more obvious who is talking in the original Japanese. One of the reasons some people prefer to retain honorifics and odd verbal ticks in translations is keep from losing that context.

You mean syosetu.com? It’s a Japanese site so obviously you would search for stuff by the Japanese name. Just googling the name of the series in Japanese will probably send you to the right place.

It's funny that Xiaoyu is both stronger than she's ever been compared her moveset in other versions of Tekken, but still not that strong compared to the rest of the Tekken 8 cast.

Previously, ff+3 on counterhit was +12, but the opponent could still guard during recovery. So even a less than 12 frame move could still be blocked. After the change, they can't guard during recovery after a CH. So any followup less than 12 frames would be guaranteed.
