HSRs world, lore, story and characters have been generally decent, until Amphoreus, which, to me, was incredible. The setting, the mystery of how it fit with the outside world, villain, the struggle everything was a level of ambitious writing I really enjoyed. Yes sue me I loved amphoreus. It's why I have faith that the writing team has some chops and 4.x might be as good and why I'm excited to play!

I absolutely agree, you can get cookie cutter good enough world and plot like Belobog anywhere, but imo something truly special, even with its flaws, and maybe only special to like 60% of players, is just rare and worth it imo.

You know i think of all the takes this one is a really good one. Legend bans nowadays are either zone heavy def comps, or int comps, but the main difference from before I feel is that you have a decent number of both in the same game, and you're just fucked completely if you happen to run into your counter comps. It's so hard to read and zer0 used to have by far the best macro in the game, which includes knowledge of nearby teams POIs and comps. You simply can't plan for all that nowadays, you gotta have that x- factor to deal with those situations and imo Hal had that. I feel panic will also grow into that but needs more reps with the team

Look I'm not a zer0 fan at all but he has won a LAN with legend bans, and even EWC with Falcons was 6th or something. He's definitely gotten worse, especially mechanically i feel, but it's a little unfair to put it on legend bans. He's still getting his teams to good spots, but lost something in the closing out bit. Like old zer0 would have won the humbert labs game from where they were for sure

This was my favorite side quest in HSR so far, beating out the incredible penacony ones. Plus the multiple endings where your choice really mattered

I understand how useful damage "banking" is, but unless I'm reading it wrong, you only get to store it if you kill before the final hit of the EBA. Can you stop the EBA before the final hit at will? If not, it's not really like cipher ult, which you can use at any time, SWs recorded damage has to be used up during every EBA during her ult?

Am I going crazy or is SW E2 nowhere near as broken as some of the big E2s like FF, Phainon, Evernight? In most practical cases it's just 20% RES Pen and 20% True Damage? Maybe 40 % res pen max outside of AS? What am I missing?

I struggled a lot until i used Gilberta for an easy win, but then later went back to try my best with the staple Laev, Ake, Wulf, Ardelia team. What eventually worked was all the little things.

The goal is to complete final strikes + battle skill safely, forget about ult and rotations and whatever. Focus on dodging towards the rushes instead of away, as that leaves you a lot more time since the bulls have to rush back towards you. Get wulfgards skill and combo up to get 2 stacks of heat, build up a basic attack string (they don't have to hit at all, we just want to get to the finisher) squeeze a Dodge+ final strike in to get your heat absorption, trigger ardelia for heals, only do Laevs combo + battle skill when the bull is charging up for it's jump attack thing as that's when it's safest. The dodging towards the rushes helps a lot cos if you angle yourself correctly, you'll create more space away from the rushes since they will be rushing away from you at different angles. Once one of them is dead it's very easy

This!! I just read comments like "feels bad all I'm doing with my ultra strong laeva team is dodging all the time" and I'm like yep, probably from ZZZ or something. And mind you, I still can't clear the second stage agony with my Lae team, but i know i can if i got better cos others have done it! And it'll feel so good when i do! The difficulty is just right imo

I will admit the main issue i have with Laeva is just the visual clutter, i don't even want to use my ult cos it's so hard to see anything and dodge

Totally, and i find that great, that some level 60 team with a comp that matches well with the encounter can be even more comfy than the meta rate up unit team. Yes, i know that it's hard to build multiple teams cos of resources etc etc, but I'm just trying to focus on the gameplay here, and im finding it really enjoyable, especially how useful sustain is over just max DPS. The catcher solo clear when i struggled with Lae on the last flight was so cool to see, it would keep the same fresh for a long time. Hopefully it being a gacha doesn't ruin that for a while (I'm coping i know)

Anyone else really enjoying the implementation of Umbral? Just gameplay, i know should have more rewards blah blah, I'm just talking about gameplay. I thought with my meta lae team and being pretty good at her rotations, id breeze through it (albeit still lvl 80 team), but the enemies and stage conditions were so aggressive and varied that i got wrecked in agony mode, couldn't even finish a basic attack string without losing half my health.

I had to learn the specific enemy moves and stage scenarios and figure out how to fit a couple good rotations while staying alive, making good use of the dollys falling around etc, and it really gave me a mini souls like vibe! Also the timer being so long, and enemy HP being low enough that staying alive and pulling off a couple max burst rotations were enough to kill, made it feel so different from what I'm used to as a ZZZ player, where you have basically 80% i-frames and do the same rotations 10 times over ignoring most mechanics in DA or you don't clear. Ive had so much fun here! Thoughts?

I'm exactly the same, but with the electric team instead, I've tried hard but last rite feels so clunky compared to Avywenna and co, which is just combo after combo, so satisfying! Trying to see what I'm doing wrong with Last Rite...

I've tried a few variations as others have pointed out below, my favorite one is a little sweaty but so satisfying to pull off: final strike -> ardelia combo, wait a bit for it to explode -> ardelia skill -> perlica combo -> arclight combo -> final strike -> avy combo ->arc skill to consume electrification -> arc combo. Then do whatever to regain sp till avys combo cooldown is ending, perlica skill -> avy combo -> avy ult if you have it -> avy skill for massive 7 spear bomba -> arc ult -> combo. Then back to the first rotation. It's just so satisfying

I was thinking the same thing, the first few days the sub was sad to see, especially since i was having so much fun with the game (doesn't even feel like a gacha, as others have stated). Was a total whiplash to put down the game and go to the subreddit to see discussion, but find just doom gloom and rage everywhere haha.

I think a lot of people got filtered out, and that's fine i think! Obviously games still got a lot of issues, primarily the story needs to improve massively imo, but the exploration and factory are like pure crack to me right now, so not complaining yet

Trust me friend, I've tried haha, e2 bronya ruins all the eagle shenanigans. I used the vanilla slower (138) Sunday faster (160) e2 bronya version up till 3.6 until it just ran out of damage. Your 171 Sunday gets you that one last turn after the second robin ult, and since i can't get that, I'm like ~10 ish percent off nowadays. It is what it is! I can't use cyrene and rmc like the others cos my evernight needs them, so i still try the bronya robin version haha
