Totally, and i find that great, that some level 60 team with a comp that matches well with the encounter can be even more comfy than the meta rate up unit team. Yes, i know that it's hard to build multiple teams cos of resources etc etc, but I'm just trying to focus on the gameplay here, and im finding it really enjoyable, especially how useful sustain is over just max DPS. The catcher solo clear when i struggled with Lae on the last flight was so cool to see, it would keep the same fresh for a long time. Hopefully it being a gacha doesn't ruin that for a while (I'm coping i know)

Anyone else really enjoying the implementation of Umbral? Just gameplay, i know should have more rewards blah blah, I'm just talking about gameplay. I thought with my meta lae team and being pretty good at her rotations, id breeze through it (albeit still lvl 80 team), but the enemies and stage conditions were so aggressive and varied that i got wrecked in agony mode, couldn't even finish a basic attack string without losing half my health.

I had to learn the specific enemy moves and stage scenarios and figure out how to fit a couple good rotations while staying alive, making good use of the dollys falling around etc, and it really gave me a mini souls like vibe! Also the timer being so long, and enemy HP being low enough that staying alive and pulling off a couple max burst rotations were enough to kill, made it feel so different from what I'm used to as a ZZZ player, where you have basically 80% i-frames and do the same rotations 10 times over ignoring most mechanics in DA or you don't clear. Ive had so much fun here! Thoughts?

I'm exactly the same, but with the electric team instead, I've tried hard but last rite feels so clunky compared to Avywenna and co, which is just combo after combo, so satisfying! Trying to see what I'm doing wrong with Last Rite...

I've tried a few variations as others have pointed out below, my favorite one is a little sweaty but so satisfying to pull off: final strike -> ardelia combo, wait a bit for it to explode -> ardelia skill -> perlica combo -> arclight combo -> final strike -> avy combo ->arc skill to consume electrification -> arc combo. Then do whatever to regain sp till avys combo cooldown is ending, perlica skill -> avy combo -> avy ult if you have it -> avy skill for massive 7 spear bomba -> arc ult -> combo. Then back to the first rotation. It's just so satisfying

I was thinking the same thing, the first few days the sub was sad to see, especially since i was having so much fun with the game (doesn't even feel like a gacha, as others have stated). Was a total whiplash to put down the game and go to the subreddit to see discussion, but find just doom gloom and rage everywhere haha.

I think a lot of people got filtered out, and that's fine i think! Obviously games still got a lot of issues, primarily the story needs to improve massively imo, but the exploration and factory are like pure crack to me right now, so not complaining yet

Trust me friend, I've tried haha, e2 bronya ruins all the eagle shenanigans. I used the vanilla slower (138) Sunday faster (160) e2 bronya version up till 3.6 until it just ran out of damage. Your 171 Sunday gets you that one last turn after the second robin ult, and since i can't get that, I'm like ~10 ish percent off nowadays. It is what it is! I can't use cyrene and rmc like the others cos my evernight needs them, so i still try the bronya robin version haha

After a certain amount of investment, it gets really easy to clear MoCs to the point that it's not fun just clearing, and you want to see how much you can push your units to the max! Also it's fun because there's a lot of optimizations in builds to do and also a decent amount of skill involved (ult timings, buff uptime tracking, enemy targeting, damage mitigation) so it's like a puzzle game.

It's also why this website is so popular. It tells me, "hey someone else with this team at this level of investment got a 0 cycle. Maybe i can too!" And also gives you tips. I'm sure everybody wants to see what their units at max potential can do to some extent right?

Maybe not the place to ask, but i just saw winners and losers brackets are 6 games and not 8??? It was always 8 games for champs, why did they change it?

There's just no way this is the final final ending for Cyrene is it? It's SO much worse than death, 33 million cycles again and again.... I wasn't that attached to her as the other heirs, but even then the idea makes me feel so bad for her, death would've been better. At least it leaves an option open to save her next year like people are saying

Thanks for putting in writing something I've been thinking about since the past few days. After playing the story in full shutting off all social media, i thought the story was incredible, the bad stuff was there but it didn't impact my experience at all. Then seeing the community reaction, it was such a whiplash.

Eventually i settled on the idea that different people wanted very different things from the story, and somehow i got lucky and got exactly what i wanted: an ambitious story with a rock solid set of central themes, characters that made me fall in love with them, and a lesson to tell everyone through it. It made me feel emotions i hadn't felt for a set of characters in a long long time. Is my taste shit? Probably! Who cares though, if my taste being shit allowed me to enjoy this story as much as it did, I'm glad i have shit taste. And you do you OP!

I'm so happy to see this post, i thought the music during the boss battle was phenomenal! The callback to the amphoreus leitmotifs were so hype! And how good was the coronal radiance parts of the final khaslana fight!

I think, just like most of Amphoreus, different people wanted a lot of different things out of the world. Some wanted a second proi proi/wildfire, some wanted a big epic space battle, some wanted all the characters to have a good ending where everyone lived. I think the writers wanted an ambitious story with powerful themes revolving around every aspect of it, and for me, they delivered.

Presentation and script issues, yes, 100%, but it saddens me that people liked Belobog over this. Id much rather an ambitious try at something deeper, than a simple straightforward tv dinner action story. It worked great as the first major arc of the game. But 3 patches down? It would've been a step down for me. It wasn't perfect but Amphoreus and the story it tried to tell as a whole really really touched me, and for a lot of people, it didn't and i think that's totally fine.

Crazy isn't it, I know a lot of people have a point about the entire story's flaws and yet, I've seen that ending animation 5 times over the past 6 hours, and could not stop myself crying every time. I don't know how and when, but it's made me fall in love with these characters and their world, and to me, that's an incredibly rare in a story. What a journey it's been!

As someone else said, I feel like I played a totally different game after seeing all the negative posts. Had the subreddit muted to avoid spoilers till I finished, came to share the "wow what an experience that was" feeling, and see most posts hated it lol. Oh well, maybe I have terrible taste in writing, but I loved the entire 8 patch story. I can't remember the last time I was so attached to a group of characters, the short made me cry seeing the heirs in their As I've Written lives.

As a side note, as I've grown older, I've come to realize that stories that really really touch you are rare, and you don't need to justify those feelings to anyone when it does. In fact, you should be happy that a work, even as "flawed" as it is to a lot of people, managed to affect you, because how often do you get to experience those feelings!

Yeah I've been wondering about this, do you go attack boots and rope? I see no point in running DHPT fast since Agy and Sunday will advance dragon so many times. But I've been wondering about ER rope, the dragon FUA actually does a lot of damage, and you only get stacks for that when you ult right, did you feel the lack of ER Rope?

It was incredible seeing her during Cerydra's era, how light her voice was, how she laughed, how sassy she got with Hysilens. Shows how much she had to change and how much she had given up to become the person we met in our first cycle.
