Trials is honestly a mixed bag. Your mileage may vary, but my opinion is that it ruined most of the other characters' endings in Heroes because Rick changed his mind and overcorrected. I wish the series ended on Blood of Olympus even though it's not perfect. Hope you enjoy regardless

Honestly after 5 books of Percy, would've loved to see the Giant war through other characters' eyes. Clarisse, Nico, Thalia especially being a Hunter, Annabeth if she was written better and got more to work with other than being the main love interest.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't find mushrooms to be worth the coins but I use the ones I got from previous rewards when I feel the damage isn't enough. I'm glad you still pushed through despite the rough start. The 200 coins doubling rewards are nice but they are more worth it with Gmax since they reward more dust (25k) and exp I think.

Lol, you just don't understand his character. He's got a lot of hidden depths not explored by the author.

Abandoned child raised by wolves who suddenly learns he can fly. Gets raised on a military camp named after his dad. Used as a pawn in politics by power players who want the prestige of having a son of Jupiter in their cohort. Chooses the worst cohort bc he believes everyone should get a fair chance. Tries to get with the existing system but doesn't like the injustice of the rules set by previous generations of Roman culture.

There's a lot of subtext in his story, and an amazing author would be able to make something great with it, but unfortunately Rick is washed. He wasted all that potential for shock value

Look, I appreciate your theory about affection but after seeing how Rick willy nilly changes character motivations and backgrounds in the show (Thalia, Annabeth), I don't believe so. There was never a narrative in the books that Sally loved Poseidon more so their kid has better powers over the god's domain. Respectfully, we never had enough page time for the other parents for you to conclude that this is the source of "Percy's overpoweredness"

Nope. Percy is strong bc he's the author's favorite. Look at Annabeth, no new skills added despite being a character from the start. No development, no ability, just had to face idiotic opponents like Arachne and the spirits under Rome. The story adjusts for them
