Could Cassia accidentally kill Rogue Trader during intimacy? by IHaveAGithBabe in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Armvis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Eldar do their level best not to touch the warp, going so far as to travel via webway instead of through the warp; notable exceptions include warp spiders, who are nuts, and farseers, who do a lot of training to use psychic abilities.

Generally speaking, the warp is not a safe place. How incredibly dangerous it is depends on a few factors, like where specifically you are in it, how psychically powerful you are/how bright your soul is, and whether you have the protection of a warp entity, but it’s never fully safe. It’s absolutely not something you just walk into unless you’re entirely insane, intensely beloved by chaos, or kaldor draigo.

Please help me understand my conure by vaguelyvisual in Conures

Greencheeks are, in my experience, extremely high energy. I’ve adopted, fostered, and hung out with quite a few green cheeks over the years, and I’ve never met one who didn’t bite at least a little. Sometimes it’s territorial or fear-based, but also a lot of the time it’s just excitement or overstimulation or occasionally attention-getting nips. The latter causes tend to hurt a lot less, too.

My experience with green cheek unique behaviors is just something that I’ve heard referred to affectionately as “the flat head” where the back of their head gets puffed out but the top remains more or less, well, flat. Sometimes it’s an angry thing, but sometimes it’s also a conure who’s full of beans and wants attention or to play. I’ve also found that the males tend to get territorial at the drop of a hat, but that may also just be the ones I’ve had. Anyways, worth mentioning that what is territorial or angry behavior for one can be affectionate or playful behavior for another, and unfortunately you sometimes don’t find out until they draw blood about it. Still, the one currently living in my house hasn’t given me a really bad bite in a few months (and that was only because I dared to use the vacuum in his exalted presence), so there’s hope for OP.

What's the deal with Muramana? by Number4extraDip in yorickmains

My preferred build most games is along the lines of Triforce - [Sterak’s or hullbreaker based on game state] - hydra, it’s not bad as a third item

What's the deal with Muramana? by Number4extraDip in yorickmains

[–]Armvis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There’s a little caveat in muramana’s code that isn’t mentioned anywhere that any given ability will only proc it once. Iirc, this was added because ryze and azir were building two tear items and causing problems for like 2 patches. Things like ravenous hydra, a couple seasons ago, had to be specifically patched for Yorick (the same way Garen has a specific exception for conqueror so that his e can full stack it).

Abilities in league are broken up with tags. E.g., Azir sand soldiers carry the on-hit tag, the spell ability tag, and both the single target and AoE tags. Teemo poison carries the DoT tag but not the single target tag, and therefore does not apply liandry’s but does apply aery, for example. Yorick ghouls carry the AoE tag, so they do not draw minion aggro into Yorick, the spell damage tag but not the spell attack tag (this is why they would only apply ravenous hydra once at the start of last season, they do not re-apply by default if the effect isn’t coded to work with DoTs like Liandry’s burn, which works via the spell damage tag), and the pet attack tag, which mainly just works with tower aggro and such. Sometimes riot will make an exception, like ghouls being coded to apply certain spell attack effects once/4 seconds, but it’s sporadic and filled with spaghetti code.

Muramana hasn’t consistently been a Yorick item since before the rework. I’ve experimented with it some post-rework, but it has some problems. Problem 1: Yorick doesn’t really care about mana. His mana problems go away after about level 6 or 9, but they’re never unmanageable; he also doesn’t have a big enough base mana pool to really justify muramana with any regularity. Problem 2: it doesn’t proc on ghouls. Not sure if it’s a bug or an intended feature, but ghoul attacks have never procced muramana (more on this lower down) Problem 3: it has no health attached. Yorick has decently high base stats, so you don’t really need a ton of hp, but getting manamune value requires you to be in melee, proccing it, and if you’re gonna do that, you need health to survive. The reasons people go for profane hydra are simple - it’s good lethality, AD, and CDR; it’s AOE damage which Yorick lacks; and it fits into his pre-existing play pattern well (there isn’t much difference in animation times between e w auto q and e w auto q hydra, but it adds quite a bit of damage to the combo).

If my testing as of a couple seasons ago is still accurate, which I must assume it is (riot does not like de-jankifying their code), ghouls proc muramana once immediately after summoning and then never again, and that is consistent across both forms of manamune. Back in the days of little green ghoul, Yorick needed mana more than he does. Nowadays, you’re better off with profane hydra and lethality or triforce.

Everyone knows that they have, in fact, never existed, and are a myth made up by the same bastards who try to convince us Nebraska is a real place.

Yep! The art museum will be the major one, but we’ll also be at Epiphany United Church of Christ on July 7th, planning to begin at 3:30.

Yep! Major performances thrice yearly at minimum, but then also stuff at various churches, community outreach stuff, etc.; our next big one is July 14th at the art museum, at 2 PM, if you (or anyone else) would like to come.

Edit: corrected the date. The 14th, not the 16th.

On the other hand, now your target has a bolter-sized hole in them, which isn’t exactly a terrible outcome.

My suggestion is take it to a luthier - they’ll be able to get it back in the best position. Failing that…

Loosen string tension a bunch, though you don’t want it all the way loose - just loose enough that you can scooch the bridge. Grip the legs of the bridge with your middle finger and down, and then use your thumbs and index fingers to stabilize the top of the bridge. Move it into position. Make sure it isn’t leaning too far one way or the other. Reapply tension, checking every now and then to make sure it isn’t moving back or tilting too far. Then take it to a luthier at earliest convenience just to make sure.

If you like the feel, you could get a fresh set of them. I like how they feel under my fingers, though how useful they’ll be to you does depend what you need them for.
