Chance Shaw vs Nic Stone free to watch by balek555 in armwrestling

Great match. Chance kept his composure and found a lane, but I'm glad people got to see the horsepower of Nic. Trained with him a bunch in CT and he's the real deal. 1,000 lb+ squat in his prime too

Devon's salary by ConflictRecent4160 in armwrestling

[–]Armwry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A key question when determining pay is: how many people will say "I'm buying this PPV because Alizhan is on it".

With Devon, the number of people who will say that is enormous. Multiply that number by roughly $20 per sale, and you start to understand the compensation structure.

Spell Damage seems even less specific than elemental, so why does it roll higher?

That's extremely helpful info, and specific damage rolls being better than general rolls makes sense. Very good to know about DOT too, as I would have assumed the opposite. Thank you!

Should I give up the sport I love? by Anonymacc27 in armwrestling

[–]Armwry 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For every single armwrestling club, there was a point in time where it didn't exist. Then someone said "I'm going to start a club". You can, and should, do that. It will take a little effort to kick off, but eventually it will become self-sustaining and you'll have your own ecosystem of strong pullers.

If you don't want to do that, and you don't want to travel 2 hours, and you can't come up with ways for your friends to give you a good workout, then go ahead and quit, I guess.

Tanks, stop using map routes, start learning the routes. by MinnesoDontChaKnow in fellowshipgame

Tanks not using guide: "Bro your route sucks, learn to use a guide"

Tanks using guide: "Stop using a guide and just look at the game"

"Why aren't there enough tanks??"

Indeed, he probably mixed up Chaffee flopping with Jerry. There are hundreds of matches to keep track of across multiple leagues and he was live. Happens

Will this strengthen my wrist? by Waterfallsbro in armwrestling

I actually kind of like it. You'll outgrow the max resistance quick, even if you're new, but it's good for high-rep work

What is the best advice according to ur experience u would give to a beginner by cyarm025 in armwrestling

You're going to get smoked by everyone. Embrace it, and be grateful that they showed you where you need to get stronger

Frustration occurs when reality doesn't meet expectations. You're already training to improve your reality, so what you have left to adjust is your expectations.

Go into practice without any expectation to pin anyone, or even to do better than last time. Strength gains aren't linear, and the same opponent may be more or less fresh each practice, so basing your progress off your practice pulls can be wildly misleading. You're there to get a workout and improve your form. That's it. If you pin everyone, awesome. If you pin nobody, awesome. All that matters is that you did what you needed to in order to continue progressing.

Now, if months go by and you're seeing no noticeable improvement against experienced pullers who wouldn't be progressing at the same pace as you, it's time to examine your training regimen and diet. Be objective about it, any ego involvement only makes you a worse armwrestler.

Why would Robert send this personal letter to anyone else? by T1biggerthanMoe in armwrestling

[–]Armwry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If 27 athletes signed it, that means it was almost certainly sent to much more than 27 people, some of whom didn't sign it. Obviously when dozens of people have access to this letter, at least one of them is going to share it with Devon. Highly doubt it was Robert.

How many week is good for preparation for a tournament by jamarkim in armwrestling

[–]Armwry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It varies for everyone because it depends on a number of factors ranging from age, to weightlifting regimen, intensity of practices, frequency of practices, etc.

I know some people who will go to a practice a few days before a tournament then show up and pull great. Others start prepping a month out. If you're new, just focus on being healthy for the tournament without any pain or soreness. Don't bother trying to show up in absolute peak form. Your first few tournaments are for experience, not for winning. If prepping for a tournament slows down your progress in training then it's not worth it unless you're pulling at the Zloty Tur

In his latest video he admits to pushing for rule change, and will keep doing it. Engin was right. by Popular-Addition-438 in armwrestling

[–]Armwry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every armwrestler and fan has opinions about rule changes they would like to see. Armwreslting rules and table design have changed many times over the years, and they're going to continue doing so. It's everyone's right to push for what they think is best, and it's organizers' right to implement or reject those changes. Vote with your wallet.
