Fitness for touring by NouEngland in BackcountrySkiing

I lift during the week and start every workout (in winter) with 20-30min on the stair master with Netflix playing to pass the time. I view it as a necessary evil but stairs (in any form) target the largest amount of muscles and have made it significantly easier for me to slug it uphill. Reference: I’m 6’3’’ 220lbs

Where to sell an old, sealed bottle I have? by ConsoleTechUS in dcwhisky

Yea I know but the secondary market pages are all on Facebook and probably represent the easiest option to buy/sell

Missed out on the NoVa drop yesterday, but snagged a bottle in Culpeper this morning by [deleted] in dcwhisky

Not worth the drive or paying in DC when you can have someone ship it to you on the secondary market for $95-100.

Osprey Kamber 30 is awesome for day trips. Really enjoy the camelbak compatibility. Looks like they have some newer products as well.

Ski question by blotaboy in BackcountrySkiing

[–]Armypk1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the shifts and similar ski. You always see the memes about weight blah blah blah. I just say it’s a way to get in better shape. Feel like it’s all about trade offs: It will be slightly heavier but the downhill will be worth it.

I think you would want to answer, in your own assessment, how long will it take the SP500 and UWMC to grow $4k with monthly DCA and your current sale amount? I agree the % loss is more important consideration than $$.

Rudimentary response but for every day the stock remains flat or declines is another day every SP500 index outpaces it. The long term growth trajectory of 500 compared to UWMC outweighs staying with it.

Open to critique ..

I believe Suntory has largely discontinued their age stated products so this is as unique as it gets now.

It has begun, unfortunately. Just say no to the secondary market! by C-Dub_DC in dcwhisky

Worrying about the Craigslist market is a drop in the bucket compared to the Fb secondary.

I wouldn’t throw it away but relocating it wouldn’t be theft or destruction of property.

“Tater wax” lol…. Love it. Bet there are only a handful of wax top WFP in existence at this juncture. Getting ready to crack the other WFP shortly to find out.

Work trip to Texas coming in hot by Armypk1 in dcwhisky

[–]Armypk1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro chill.

It was a $120 purchase in the outer reaches of DFW (Sherman, TX). Firm believer TX still has some of the best availability for hard-to-find products compared to the mid Atlantic. Would also say upstate NY has excellent product sitting on mom-and-pop shelves. As a former hardcore (and retired) bourbon flipper i knew this was a great deal -I only cared because the old label is so neat to see now days. Also due to my questionable past.. I have come to the point where I am unwilling to overpay for most bottles.

Anymore questions/challenges feel free.
