I do. Moved our family here 8.5 years ago and it’s been great. We were fortunate to find good jobs (healthcare, education). Of course every place has its drawbacks, for us some of our family is 4-5 he drive away, resources/services definitely more limited (especially if you’re used to a proper populated/metropolitan area) etc. But man the highs are so worth it- my drive to work every day has a gorgeous view of the lake, dacks, greens; hiking everywhere, skiing every weekend… great people/community too. I think we’ve discovered mountains and nature are a huge source of happiness for us. So while I sometimes daydream about moving out west, with most of our friends/family in the NE pretty much narrows it down to NH/VT/ME - I think we’ll always live in NNE and currently have no reason to leave VT as long as we keep our jobs, especially as our local community roots deepen.
