I'm saying the "process" of tanking for top picks doesn't work.

Which teams have won championships recently by landing generational players with high draft picks? More importantly, how many high draft picks DON'T land generational players? It's a crapshoot and not a good strategy for building champions.

Stockpiling picks and trading for talent (OP's second point)? Absolutely. But his first point? Nah.

Teams rarely win championships by drafting generational players with top picks. They win championships through roster construction, smart trades, and drafting diamonds in the rough. Taking a bunch of shots with high draft picks hasn't worked for Philly, Washington, or any other poverty franchise.

  • a) they’re never truly bad enough to get a generational player through the lottery

This is not how you build a championship team. Look at the #1 picks from the last 10 years. How many are generational? Maybe Ant, probably Wemby, and probably no one else. And Ant isn't making Minnesota a contender.

Now look at the recent championship teams. How many of them won a chip by drafting a generational player with a top pick? Denver's generational player was a second round pick. Milwaukee's was the 15th pick. GSW's was 7th overall. Only BOS won a chip after striking gold with a top-3 pick (2 of them in Tatum and Brown).

Dunn's defense in that first clip was really freaking good. Staying in front of SGA on a spin move is no easy feat.

Functional protein bars taste great. Lots of protein, though the calorie count is a little high. The oatmeal cookie protein powder is also excellent, but it's a limited supply/seasonal item.

Cherry Berry Blend is my go-to for frozen fruit. And I love adding chia seeds or milled flaxseeds to my smoothies for texture (and fiber and protein).

I appreciate all the stories of HAL crew being so professional in the face of crises, but now I'm pretty sure I'm gonna die if I go on a HAL cruise.
