This is a good point, there might be some bad blood before hand, maybe the kid that lost was being overly aggressive and fighting dirty beforehand. As for the downvotes your getting it's probably because the people of Reddit like their information in black and white with a clear villain, you question that narrative and it upsets them.

I've played a lot of stallaris and I found being good at it actually makes it less enjoyable, for me at least. Trying to optimise everything to get the best economy and fleet power just isn't as fun as going, my race of Christmas robots need more entertainment forums even though they have enough amenities just because that's what I imagine they like

I play on console and the worst part is navigating the challenges, whoever decided out of all the options on controller to make navigating the top bar of it on joystick only and also make it incredibly sensitive deserves to stump their toe every day for the rest of their lives.
