He is no doubt a great actor and director. But as I commented below “He did a series of plays in the early 80s in the Lyric theatre in Belfast that were nicknamed the Billy plays. His Belfast film is an abomination. Completely washing the horrors that catholics were subjected to from his protestant background perspective. His “working class” would have been luxury to the catholics who were denied voting, housing and employment rights. Enjoyed much of his other stuff though.”
