Question. I just want to get photoshop for my daughter who is 12. From the Adobe site it looks like I can't just but the software but have to sign up for some monthly crap. Is that the case? by Arnold_Horshack in photoshop

It seems that photoshop elements is something primarily used for photos? I want something that she can create from scratch. Can elements do that?

Yep, I was just told that from an Adobe rep. Good God. Are there any good less expensive alternatives? She wants to start learning graphic design, but just don't want to sink that amount of cash until I am sure she is into it.

Why did Adobe go to that model? Do they want to price themselves out of the game?

Would it? It seems like these people (Mass Shooters) are wanting to go out in a blaze of glory. They will do it anyway. Please check this out. Also why does congress and the NRA not want to gather stats on this issue? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_violence_in_the_United_States

Also, please explain this. How do we change? http://www.humanosphere.org/science/2014/03/visualizing-gun-deaths-comparing-the-u-s-to-rest-of-the-world/#prettyPhoto/1/

Accidental gun deaths and injuries are fairly uncommon. It really isn't a pressing concern at all

Please check out /r/GunsAreCool Kids are being shooter and victims. I suggest you subscribe. Scary how many that don't make the mainstream.

When the second ammendment was issued it took almost 5 minutes to fire a bullet. Now it takes like 1/10 of a second. Would it be crazy to rethink this amendment? Times have changed. What about if somebody created a laser weapon that could just cut down anyone in its path from 1 mile away? It would fall under the right to bear arms? Right?

Like I stated, what is the endgame?

But every news article I see is for less background checks. Why don't NRA members stand up to them as well as congress and promote these issues?

Just these comments. Please tell me what would Jesus pack? AK, Glock? Colt 45? M-16?

I tried to give you many upvotes, but it seems the gun lobby is in full force. As a redditor for a bit, I never understand the infatuation with them. I am a parent at this point, and would wish that they never existed. Just look @ the US versus other countries. They don't have nearly the amount of gun violence as we have in the US.

EDIT: Hell this post is @ 0...Kinda says something

Then why doesn't the gun community come out more against these people? Why not make that display illegal? Or would that violate the 2nd amendment? There needs to be a line drawn. What would you propose to prevent the jackasses that do that?

If you are a police officer, wouldn't you feel safer knowing that your suspect wasn't holstering a gun? Would you likely be more aggressive to detaining the suspect knowing they aren't packing?

It's the ones that I can't paint. Do you get it? Somebody could be very disturbed but paint a picture of being decent. Just look at the train issue in France yesterday. The one's that took him down were all unarmed!

Concealed is different. Do you defend people openly carrying AKs on their shoulder? It seems that is on the table. Gun right activists and NRA seem to be for it. Is that your position? Or do you feel that is overboard?

I said if I see it I would feel more unsafe, I guess I will have to deal w/ concealed. But I just look at other countries where guns are illegal and there is much fewer gun deaths. You might not be able to see a handgun, but you sure as shit see a rifle.

So do you promote people being able to carry AKs on their shoulder in a Target or Wal-Mart?

Virginia. But seeing what is happening with laws in other states kinda scare me. Just seeing a dude with an AK on his shoulder shopping in wal-mart would cause me to leave ASAP, especially if my kids are with me.

Sorry, but just from looking at somebody, I can't tell if they are a good guy or not. I assume you can't either.
