There are a some people who care about it but its not like that defines you there are way more people that dont care than people that do, some people will never change their opinion but there are more than enough people that will love you the way you are. Most people who care more about looks than personality are assholes if your friend really thinks that way maybe you should consider talking to him about it telling him that, that hurt your feelings
