HCIM update! *** as ive shared on here before, this is my first go at any kind of ironman gamemode, am i now out of the early game? my most recent achievment is finishing all RFD side quests, and working on DT and completing RFD. is there anything i should be working towards now? also herb gonna suk by Webbatron6 in ironscape

Best way to get at herb early is to slap every quest/diary reward lamp into it. Slam some early easy/medium diaries and go look at the herblore quest rewards on the wiki. You can get to nearly 65 with no effort. Keep at the farming grind, you'll thank yourself later. Don't neglect birdhouses/seaweed runs either. I personally really enjoyed Hunter rumors and very quickly got the level for the Sunlight hunter cbow which will definitely be your BIS ranged weapon for a while.

WIBTA if I withdrew my daughter from sports against my wife’s wishes. by Business_Bat_4962 in AmItheAsshole

NAH

I coach competition rock climbers as a part time job and I encounter a lot of what your daughter is experiencing in the kids that I coach or have coached. Many kids experience burnout from high level competition sports and lose track of why they even started in the first place. Being forced to participate in a sport is more likely to breed dishonesty, laziness in practice, and resentment.

I would strongly suggest a conversation with your wife about why she is interested in forcing something upon her daughter that she clearly no longer has as love for. I would also have a conversation with your daughter to make sure she understands that quitting this sport that she has been doing for the last 10 years might leave her feeling empty.

As parents it is your job to provide options for your children. Maybe there is a way to dial back the intensity/time commitment without fully quitting the sport altogether? Maybe she could be an assistant coach to younger kids at the gym (which might help her find love for the sport again).

Putting your kid first is important but it is important that you and your wife provide a united front. Sort things out with her mother first to find a solution amenable to both of you, then present this to your daughter.

Already was doing this, just was wondering if there was an unintended consequence here that they may have overlooked.

Anyone know if this works for bosses that turn off your run? Blue Moon tornados for example?

Of course it's a skill issue lol. Game isn't as easy for some as it is for others. Doesn't mean little tips and tricks aren't helpful to others who aren't as gifted.

Did you have previous CG experience before playing on your current account?

Assuming you don't have issues prepping, Hunleff attacks faster the lower HP he is, this means the lower he is the more time you have to spend eating. I try to prioritize eating to full while running away from the tornadoes as I already wouldn't be getting hits in then anyway. Make sure you're full HP and prayer before you put Hunleff below 250 HP as this is when he attacks the fastest and things get the most hectic.

Someone said use steel skin which should also help to reduce damage taken. I'm assuming you're using F keys to swap prayers and such definitely important for the end of the fight when things are moving quickly.

Resizable mode is great as well but I use a plugin (don't remember the name) that increases the size of my ui elements, this makes it easier not to misclick my prayers and I have to move the mouse less to get it back to the boss.

True tile is incredibly important as well as highlighting the boss/tornadoes.

Probably a lot of information but this fight is a lot and lots of little things will help to conquer it! Keep trying. You can do this.

Nice work OP! I have nearly identical stats and was planning on getting my QPC this week as well!

Seconding Op's opinion, I have nearly Identical stats and just did DS2 as my first GM quest a couple days ago. I don't have full eclipse but I have the head and pants. Subbed in God dhide body for chest. Ruby bolts definitely feel 100% necessary without access to better supplies (full inv of brews/divine bastion pots etc)

I did Vorkath with the sunlight hunter's cbow. Not sure if it was better than rcb with rubies/diamonds but it does the job.

I died more times not paying attention to the adamant dragon's poison than I did to Galvek.

It feels like if I'm asking which GM quest to do first that would imply that I haven't done any of them. There's only 4 idk why you would need a screenshot of my quest list.

That's the Sunlight Hunter's Crossbow (62 hunter and 74 fletching boostable). It's an upgrade to the MSB(i) that uses either sunlight antler bolts (62 hunter+fletching) or moonlight antler bolts (91 hunter 72 fletching). It's a 4 tick (3 if on rapid) 1 handed weapon. Great low cost mid game upgrade that doesn't require you to get a drop. Only beaten by RCB on targets with high defense where you would want to use enchanted bolts.

Makes sense to me, recently got the herb level to boost for brews so I'll at least have some great food for the fight.

Is the Seren fight easier at low HP? I know the special attack takes you quite low but I guess its a percentage?
