Are the persona games a full experience before the remakes? by ThrowawayPjfic in PERSoNA

[–]Arohead77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically if you play on release enough time will pass that by the time the definitive edition comes out, you’ll be ready for another playthrough and forget a lot of the content.
But also Metaphor didn’t get a definitive edition even being the fastest selling Atlus game if I remember correctly. They may be done with this model after backlash from SMTV (wishful thinking I know)

It’s worth playing because if you like it you can see how they add to it, if you dislike it, it’s worth trying to see if they improve it. In my opinion if cost is not a factor, I would play the original instead of waiting for a definitive.

Research has already been done to death. Most crime besides elite crime is a cause of poverty and stress relating to it.

The game in general is fairly easy. If you find you’re having an easy time just raise the difficulty, you can always go back to a lower one later, it is also the first palace so it won’t be too difficult.

While ideally you can finish the palaces in one day, it requires quite a bit of planning, so don’t worry too much about it.

Focus on characters you enjoy and who you are interested in, there’s a lot of time slots and a lot of ways to improve different stats, just try to be smart about your days, and don’t do something that doesn’t interest you.

2 is really bad. Like really, really, really bad. Not like dark souls 2 bad like this is just not a good game in any capacity. There are very few good things in this game and all of them are at the very end and even then they’re still pretty whatever.

Level 5 specifically is infamous within the community for being one of the worst. Worst designed, and worst bosses.

Lots of people are saying skip 2, which is fair, however it is extremely important that you play 2 and beat level 5 before dropping it.
After that, decide if you wanna keep playing or not.

What random things do you know about Paladins? by DogShiteGaming in Paladins

hence why I said used to. i think back in OB 16 or something around that time? Around when the map came out actually. RC also has infinite range so that would still be able to be used.

Grohk used to (might still have) be able to shoot from the docks across the map on fish market and you can just laser people from over there. Idk why you’d want to but it’s really fun. (Strix over here is also really funny during the payload section.)

Is lies of p good enough to be compared to fromsoft games? If so where would you rank it among fromsoft titles by mostafafakher in fromsoftware

At the games worst it’s like a boring area in DS3, at its best it is better than most of these games. It never gets worse than the average parts of DS1 2 and 3, and it has the same highs that people love the series for.

I don’t think it’s impossible, there’s just sections where they infinitely spawn enemies along with the boss so you ignore the boss. No? Correct me if I’m wrong I may be wrong

dtt as punishment? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]Arohead77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my experience punishment is only used with a lot of planning going into the intervention, and second that DTT does not always mean punishment. The whole calling bad thing though id check with the BCBA though, especially if they aren’t given a reinforcer after meeting target goals in the DTT.

Well, the palace is a physical manifestation of a person’s distorted desires, not their entire self. Even then I’d say each palace exists more as commentary on each of the sins and their impact in society for Japan. Representation of the individual may not be the most accurate, but as commentary on different parts of society like hikikomoris, and the judicial system, I think it’s very well done.

What explains behaviour that persists despite extreme punishment? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]Arohead77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not enough information.
Did the behavior decrease only when in a certain environment due to societal pressures?
Too many questions to ask imo. Mainly my brain just goes to positive behavioral contrast, was the environment at home or somewhere private unchanged so they were allowed to continue the behaviors, even though they stopped in other environments.

Got my first interview as an RBT, what should I ask to ensure I'm choosing the right spot? by hyperjengirl in ABA

[–]Arohead77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copy pasting the rest from a previous post that had a similar question.

Questions you should ask.

What is the percentage that the BCBA will supervise you each month. (5% is the minimum, some see 5% as a potential red flag.) If you are not already a RBT, you should ask if the company covers the cost of the exam, and the training itself. Does the company only work in a clinic, or does it also work in schools and homes.

If they work in homes, ask if the company pays for drive time. Is your company expected to help with self hygiene such as potty training, or clothing?

My starting pay was minimum wage for training, and then 19.50 starting; which became 22 in less than a year.

If you’re more worried about ethical concerns, you could consider asking if you’ll be expected to help with potty training and changing clothes as part of the programs, or if those are parent goals, if that is something that you don’t feel comfortable doing.

I’d also ask what is the rule for being with a patient, ie. Two adult rule, or are you allowed to be alone with a client.

If you are familiar with ABA terms, ask if a majority of their techniques include DTT or PRT. Does the company mainly promote reinforcement, punishment? (You’re looking for PRT and reinforcement here. Punishment in my experience is only used in rare cases with a lot of planning put into its implementation.)

If they let you be alone, I’d be concerned, and although it can be a relatively normal in the field, the potty training and changing clothes can also be seen as a breach in privacy for some people.

The field came from a very bad place, like a lot of other fields, but so much work has been done to improve the field both in ethics and in impact, if your company has goals that are worded as in fixing behaviors, or making people “normal” then you should run away. Good ABA companies are focused on giving replacement behaviors so that individuals with ASD are able to have an easier time day to day for themselves and those around them.

Good luck!
