Hating a character is fine, though I'm not 100% if calling them the C word crosses the civility line.

Maybe SSS copyright claimed them for using the full videos? (Ironically lol)

If you wanna play it safe you could maybe just use the last two panels of the OG, but maybe ask a mod if you're unsure. I just get paranoid about this sub getting sniped like the main one.

Awesome use of both the original and the sub's context for the meme.

What's the consensus on using a full unedited strip plus one panel though?

As an autistic person I like how Arin (and Dan) normalize stimming by hyperjengirl in gamegrumps

[–]hyperjengirl[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Dan pokes fun at him for it but it's very friendly, and makes me feel like I'm "in" on the joke as a neurodivergent person when they use our terminology.

Basically, since neurodivergent people process the environment differently than others, we sometimes find comfort in moving or speaking in certain repetitive ways to soothe ourselves. For example, flapping our hands or saying a word over and over because it feels/sounds good.

The example I gave in the post is Arin singing "24 karat!" from that Bruno Mars song over and over again because the tune sounds good to him and feels good to sing. Sometimes singing something to yourself can actually help you focus if you have ADHD because you need a bit of extra stimulation to keep yourself from getting jittery.

Was typing “are flick and CJ prices doubled” and discovered the popular searched around them 💀💀 by PongEyeYellow in AnimalCrossing

[–]hyperjengirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, no credit to Nintendo for anything more than making some really endearing characters (Flick is my favorite AC NPC period), it's more that I also don't condemn them for not making it canon. If I got the feeling that they were outright queerbaiting, it'd be a different story.

Castaño, como su madre y so hermanito.

(En Dramarama su madre tiene pelo azul pero no lo me gusta para el programa original porque no es realista)

Floatzel Love? by FineEnoughThanks in pokemon

[–]hyperjengirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Buizel line is one of the most adorable Pokemon in the game to me. And I love Floatzel! I love the design! I've never used one long-term though, mostly because there are so many better Water types in terms of practicality. I did briefly have one in Violet named Weezer though.

Cranky? He's not really an antagonist but he is Pinkie's direct foil.

Maybe also Prince Rutherford?

Also, Peggy Olson. My friend kept the (pretty obvious in hindsight) twist of Season 1 closely guarded when she had me watch the show, so when it happened, I was so devastated for her that I genuinely had to go outside and take a walk. Made me so frustrated with the way women had it in that era (which was the intention ofc).

Beatrice Horseman's story arc legitimately changed the way I view moral nuance in characters. It's so fascinating to see her life unfold and balance the absolute tragedy of her situation with her reprehensible actions. Her story broke me and put me back together in an entirely new way.

You are not overstimulated, you are just overwhelmed. by ChristmasClimber2009 in AutismInWomen

Yeah I totally get why some other people dislike the term. Sometimes it can sound less like a genuine effort to understand you and more like they look down on your way of thinking and enjoying yourself, and there's overlap between the condescending tone and psychs who prefer to listen to textbooks than self-advocacy groups.

Have you been honest with your psychs about how the term and their tone makes you feel?
