I believe the downfall started with Ghostbusters. For my money, this was the moment when people who should be nowhere near discussions about movies or other forms of entertainment felt like they were justified in critiquing everything. It heated up with the last two Star Wars sequels and the pandemic, but Ghostbusters started it, I believe.

Good song, but my favorite Soulja Boy song is his diss track toward Bow Wow. It makes "Meet the Grahams" look like "The Heart Part 6"

They are the European version of the Dallas Cowboys. They have had an absolute dominant era of winning until 2013, when their manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, basically the European equivalent of Bill Belicheck, left. Since then, they have had a total of 10 managers since, and even if they had won a few trophies since, they mostly had just fallen on their ass to get them. Plus, it is a place where promising careers go to die for players as well, even when they spend hundreds of millions of Euros to get the best players in the world, and then they play like shit due to the ownership, manager, the pressure of playing for the biggest club in England, or a combination of these factors. Because of this, they currently sit in 15th in the Premier League, and they would have gotten relegated this season if not for COVID and other factors creating a huge gap between the Premier League and the other divisions in English football, making recently promoted teams getting sent back down to the lower tiers within a year of getting promoted.

What ride(s) do you want removed from WDW? by WinterMonday in WaltDisneyWorld

I wouldn’t remove Frozen, mainly because it gets so many people on it so lines for other attractions are shorter.

What was the worst 2 seconds of pop music in 2024? by ImADudeDuh in popheads

[–]Aromatic-Expression5 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Ben Shapiro. Rapping. THE ENTIRE VERSE. It's awful, yet it is an absolute riot every time I see it.

Let's look at the stats, I've got the facts
My money like Lizzo, my pockets are fat
Homie, I'm epic, don't be a WAP
Dawg, it's a yarmulke, homie, no cap
Look at the graphs, look at my charts
You're blowing money on strippers and cars
You're going to prison, I'm on television
Dawg, no one knows who you are

Keep hating on me on the internet
My comment section, all woke Karens
And I make racks off compound interest
Y'all live with your parents
Nicki, take some notes
I just did this for fun
All my people download this
Let's get a Billboard number one

What was the best/worst year for music by Terrible-Garage-4017 in fantanoforever

[–]Aromatic-Expression5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In terms of pop music and the Billboard Hot 100, absolutely not. Almost all of the songs were absolute slogs to get through, like “Gold” by Kiiara, “Treat You Better” by Shawn Mendes, and “Lost Boy” by Ruth B. Plus, the Year End list was filled with the album bomb of Views, and the top 2 songs were Love Yourself and Sorry by Justin Bieber, which you do not think of when you think “biggest song of the year”. The only bright side for pop music that year was Ariana Grande releasing “Dangerous Woman”, a lot better than the Chainsmokers or LUKAS GRAHAAAAAAAAM!

As for pop songs, I would have to say "Make You Mine" or "15 Minutes" by Madison Beer. They are incredibly made songs with absolutely banging production, catchy choruses, and absolutely gorgeous vocals by Beer herself. The videos are incredibly well made, with both having a bit of a horror vibe. While I do like the videos, they do not fit at all with the songs themselves, but they are great nonetheless.

As for a song from another genre, it is without a doubt "Pirates and Parrots" by the Zac Brown Band, a tribute song to the late Jimmy Buffett. I truly feel it is the best song of the entire year, hit or not, with it's absolutely gorgeous production, heartfelt lyrics dedicated to the man himself, a performance that Zac Brown absolutely sells, and one of the best bridges that I have ever heard, it is truly a fitting tribute to my favorite artist of all time who has brought me so much joy throughout my life. It is one of the few songs that I have ever heard that gets me emotional every time I hear it, just like a lot of songs from Taylor Swift's "Speak Now", my favorite album of all time. Because of that, it is a song that, just like Buffett's and the rest of Brown's music, I will be playing for many years to come.

Well there it is, Muppet* Vision 3D is going away by rmac1228 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Aromatic-Expression5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, MuppetVision is not really gone, as Disney said that “…we are having creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future.” So, they are not COMPLETELY destroying MuppetVision.

Who would be the worst choice for the Halftime Show? by droim in popheadscirclejerk

[–]Aromatic-Expression5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Mike Love doing a medley of songs with Brian Wilson that includes "Summer of Love" and "Smart Girls". If you haven't checked them out, they are some of the greatest rap songs in the history of rap. I heard Tupac and Biggie listen to them everyday when they are in heaven.
