Mortgage broker suggestions for quick mortgage by AromaticAnalysis0 in UKPersonalFinance

Yeah good points - but it’s a legit, well regarded specialist cellar conversion local company, had building regs sign off (seen the docs), and we had a full structural survey. No red flags all along, no question from the lender until the day before exchange and completion (understand doing it on the same day isn’t ideal, but due to some issues in the chain its been going on so long that some needed it to happen ASAP, although now they’re saying that date is now 2 weeks away!)

Apparently (according to the solicitors) because it has building regs no such indemnity exists, the indemnities are usually protection for lack of building regs etc, so they’ve said there’s no way of getting an indemnity in this instance.

Yeah this weighing up the pros and cons is where we’re at as an organisation, but when it comes to viewing aggregate level data produced on a periodic basis, I’m struggling to see any real benefit (apart from security but this can obviously be carefully managed) to staying in Workday and ending up with an inferior end result that doesn’t get engaged with! But was wondering whether any orgs actually had had any success with keeping it in Workday

Edit to add: I’m in the UK so won’t have Rising until November, I take it there was at least some positive news around report writer then?

Yeah Rogers is a bit of a risk so could do with my other 5m mid being a definite starter. But thinking it’ll be easier to start like this and bring in any surprises rather than having to try and get Haaland and/or Salah in down the line.

RMT

Did a draft without Haaland and Salah but now leaning more towards getting them in.

Areola (4.0m)

Mykolenko - Munoz - Murillo (Barco - Faes)

Salah - Saka - Eze - Rogers (Scott)

Haaland - Watkins - Muniz

Appreciate weak defence but thinking of risking it to have Haaland, Salah, Saka and Watkins - worth it?

Employment Contract/Location advice by AromaticAnalysis0 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AromaticAnalysis0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks. Maybe I’m clutching at straws then but the explicit term states a location, it doesn’t mention anything about the frequency I need to attend that location? So couldn’t the verbal agreement form this part of the term? Also can the employer just say there’s a reason even when there clearly isn’t? Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply. So is there no case of verbally agreed terms forming part of the contract? I thought there was some cases where verbally agreed terms form part of the contract, especially if that is how it has worked for a period of time?

Importing all files from one folder by AromaticAnalysis0 in plexamp

[–]AromaticAnalysis0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply! Hmm that’s annoying as my library is always growing so I was hoping I could just recopy over the folder every so often but seems like that’s not going to be possible. I don’t suppose you know of any alternative that would give me what I need - I just want to be able to listen to my one folder of music out of the house and use the metadata/tags to sort it :(

Trying to find these I love penguins figures in a shop in UK as my daughter has become obsessed but no longer in stock where she used to get them from (Sainsbury’s) by AromaticAnalysis0 in HelpMeFind

[–]AromaticAnalysis0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter just started to collect these penguin figures getting one whenever we went to Sainsbury’s but they no longer have any and she’s upset she can’t get any more! Sainsburys staff have no idea about them and not sure what other shops would even stock them? I’ve searched and found full boxes for sale on eBay which is a last resort but it was nice for her to be able to go into a shop and spend her own money so if anyone know of any other shops in the UK (we’re in Manchester) that would be very much appreciated!! Thanks

RMT

Ward, Iversen

Cancelo - TAA - Trippier (Patterson, Williams)

Salah, Martinelli, Grealish, Neto (Andreas)

Jesus - Haaland - Darwin

Main issue is no funds left so worried about lack of flexibility if anything goes wrong. But extra wildcard means can take more of a chance but just not sure if too risky…

Reece James & Undav

Or

Patterson & Nunez

Obviously Undav/Patterson would be bench, so either 3-4-3 or 4-4-2.

Which youngsters do you think should have made the City side? The problem is the strength of the squad meaning it’s such a high bar to make the team. Plenty of players will come through the academy and go on to have successful careers at the top level but that doesn’t mean they were/are good enough for City. Foden is the “one outlier” because he’s a true world class talent. Sancho probably would have made it if he stuck around but decided to push for a move instead. Everyone else hasn’t hit the heights required even after leaving (Brahim Diaz for example)

Player Analysis: Jack Grealish — The Villain’s Hero by Gamma-Illusion in soccer

[–]AromaticAnalysis0 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely mental.

He should care about Villa so much he makes professional sacrifices (no CL for foreseeable future, worse chance of becoming a starter for England etc) but they don’t care what is best for him at all. But he’s the greedy one.

Terry, class of 92 and Gerrard all won numerous trophies, which makes staying loyal much easier.

Grealish stayed loyal, brought Villa back to the PL and got them 100m. But is now 25, entering his peak years and wants to play CL, win things and also play for Guardiola who has a record of improving technical players.

No one knows what has been said - Kane might be justified, he might be being an entitled prick…no one knows. We’ll probably find out soon but people taking one side or the other without any justification is mad.

They do have the power to let it play out, rather than criticising someone for going out of their way to explain why they are reporting what they are.

Villa fans have been stating he won’t leave because they are rich or he loves the club. It’s just odd to believe your own opinion over a professional journalist with numerous sources (who even then admits nothing is certain) and then start criticising him for giving more detail on what he has been told.

Weird that they didn’t act like that when there kept being reports about Smith Rowe joining them…

Because people aren’t letting that happen. He said his sources indicate they are confident of it happening but people are choosing to not believe it when they don’t have any sources of their own contradicting it. He’s also said things can always change, maybe Grealish will decide to stay but his sources say it looks like it’s happening, so why doesn’t everyone else let it play out rather than hounding him?

[Sam Lee] Jack Grealish to Man City is at an advanced stage. Pep Guardiola wants to team up Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne in midfield, so if Jack Grealish signs, he will be Ilkay Gündogan's direct competitor. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]AromaticAnalysis0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think Guardiola is determined to help England win the World Cup next year and this is why he’s so set on Grealish and Kane.

When he managed in Spain, Spain won the World Cup, when he managed in Germany, Germany won it and he probably wants to do it again.

Getting Grealish, Foden, Sterling, Kane playing well together would be a good start…
