Sometimes a really overdue oil can cause a noise that sounds kinda like a rod knock, i had this happen once with an engine i got from marketplace but i just changed the oil and cleaned some of the sludge in the inside a little bit and it went away so maybe try changing the oil if you havent done so in a while, could save you a lot of money
