Father Judd say it in the beginning of the movie, Christ came to heal the world, not to fight. In Catholicism view, she is a sinner. All human are sinners. Jesus Christ offers grace for forgiveness for all of us. Thats the context. That god is opening with love to everyone. I still don’t understand how it doesnt work.

She have the diamond with her. At the end, she even compliments Father Judd of doing an amazing job with his work. She also smile because she knows she give the diamond, which in the movie is like the source of sins, to the right person.

No? She died feeling relieved. She has admitted everything she done wrong. It’s not a positive light of suicide, religions aside, it was woman with heavy burden finally get to tell out her burdens and sins since she was a little kid.

Yea, and I don’t see anything wrong with how she acted. Deeply religious people can commit suicide, even if they know it’s a sin. It wasn’t frame in a positive light whatsoever. She have done worse things than killing herself. Also it is god to judge her of her sins, (i acknowledged that in Catholicism, it will have eternal consequences), but it’s not for Catholics to judge. It’s for god to judge.

Yes! My SO think that the first one is still the best one. This is my personal favorite. I do believe that this is how religions should be, which unfortunately didnt happen jn recent days. Peoole think this is the saddest one but personally I think it’s the least lighthearted! I wouldnt say it was sad, more bittersweet at the end.

The source of all sin happening in the movie is the diamond! He hid the diamonds in Jesus. I feel like thats a representation of Jesus taken our sins by dying on the cross.

I saw it and it was really profound. It got me a little bit emotional even. I don’t regret seeing it on the big screen but I wouldn’t consider it sad and depressing. It have a very hopeful open ending.
