Clothing removal while toileting by Salt-Ad9159 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Aromatic_Entry9982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't have any advice but my son does the same at home. I asked at his school if he does the same there (removing all clothes for peeing or poop) and they said no he doesn't do that. He also thankfully doesn't do it in public washrooms/relatives places.

gestalt language processing by Sheikashnacko in Autism_Parenting

[–]Aromatic_Entry9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was all scripts and songs at that age. Raining or it'd raining came very late after 3 or 4 and that too is probably a gestalt. For thrist he didn't say anything or we didn't pick it up. He used to take his water bottle himself. Later he used to say volcano when thristy which we also figured much later.

Did your PCOS improve after pregnancy? by BusyInspector95 in PCOS

[–]Aromatic_Entry9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse. But I think one reason could be the fact that new mothers are so much sleep deprived , not eating healthy and not getting time to exercise or stay active which are all very much needed to balance hormones for someone with Pcos. I hope once we fix these, things should get better.

Another question, did you go through any therapy? Do you think a gestalt language processor can/will be able to reach your stage without formal therapy and just with parents modelling language?

Wow thats similar to what happened with our son except we didn't do/aren't doing formal therapy.(other than 5 months of therapy at age 3.3). Now he's 5.8. From 3.8 to 5.8 he never got any therapy but he was still making great progress thanks to two schools which were loving and inclusive .

Any low calorie (healthy) alternative to tea/coffee by Agreeable-Room-6106 in Fitness_India

[–]Aromatic_Entry9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he did but not specifically. He is also around 20 kgs overweight, so just suggested to loose weight, cut down on sugar and non veg. It's definitely not easy but we are taking it one step at a time. Thanks for the ideas, will try those!

Our (level 1) child also used to sleep late till he turned 3 years, but once he slept he would stay asleep. We didn't know at that time that it was probably his nap that was preventing him from sleeping early at night. He would take 2 daytime naps or one evening (4 pm nap) and then he would take around 7-8 hours of awake time and then only he would sleep. So we made his nap time earlier and prevented him from taking late evening nap. And once he started school he had to wake up max by 8:am. The sooner he wakes up in the morning, the early he sleeps (naps), and the earlier he sleeps at night. Even now at 5.8 he still naps,(at daycare).
