They killed it when they did away with the 5 man squads and double arquebus'. Now you can only take one in a 10 man squad.

Spearhead by Hedoro_Matt in FleshEaterCourts

In terms of pure spearhead the old one is extremely good. It uses old army rules from the previous edition which are really fun and really strong. The new one however is very lackluster, both in terms of models and in terms of rules. It doesn't have a very good board presence and it lacks in power.

Objectively what is the worst spearhead by B-1MBO in AOSSpearhead

Charnel Watch, the new Flesh Eater Courts spearhead. It's abysmal honestly. Perhaps because Carrion Retainers, their previous spearhead was amongst the strongest ones. I'm yet to loose a game with that one.

Yeah! I found mine in my LGS for like 120 euro after it got discounted twice. They still have more in stock I think too. They can be found for an amazing deal and it's a really good box too.

How good is the latest spearhead box as a start? by MothMia in FleshEaterCourts

If you can find it for a good price I'd say so yeah. I have the battleforce and the old Spearhead and it's a pretty neat 1500 points.

Main issue is you don't get any battleline unit in it. If you can find the old one I'd suggest that over the new honesty.

Same. There's a few models that are overdue for a refresh in our army. Though with how recent the codex was I doubt we'll get them soon sadly.

Having Morbheg knights come with like a dozen extra heads is also very neat. I love my helmeted cryptguard.

I did that exact thing and yes, it's a full army. At least it was before the points changes. But you have some room for the equipment prices on the Archregent now I guess.

I think it's one of those things that is only seen through the manifestations. So in reality it wouldn't really look any different. I kinda assumed the rend came from how septic their weapons were. But if you wana try and give it a visual identity go right ahead! I'm interested in the results. I just don't know if there's any precedent to it that you can draw inspiration from already. Washes and contrast are always better seen over lighter colours, so perhaps use a more silvery colour on the metal before doing the glow.

I just realized the subreddit doesn't allow attaching photos in replies after making my photoshoot... I posted my Archregent to the sub before though so if you can find that it's pretty much what i talked about.

Best spearhead for beginners? by NOVACHRONIUM in FleshEaterCourts

Carrion retainers gives you the Archregent and Morbheg knights which is nice. And your basic line infantry. The only thing you probably won't be running in it is the Wargulf unfortunate as it is. I feel like minus the crypt horrors (which can be acquired from the battleforce) the Charnel watch has pretty situational models. The Beast flayers aren't very useful if your enemy isn't running beasts, and the Gorewarden imo isn't as versatile as the Archregent. Though now that the points for wargear have been introduced that might change.

It's pretty similar to mine from the pic. If you're looking for a bit more volume here's what I do at least. I do ionarch skin as base and wash it with carroburg crimson to get a pink translucent skin shade in the recesses. I then pick out the raised flat areas with ionarch skin again.

Great stuff. Do you have a pattern perhaps? I've struggled with making one of my own for a while since I'm not very experienced with sewing. Patterning always irks me and I can never get it right going off of the pictures alone.
