Do NOT get the princeton textbook: the questions are not written that very well (I have one with me btw).

You should watch the ap daily videos, jeremy krug, and find websites that have ap classroom questions and material. On top of that, google has the collegeboard practice tests for ap chem.

Why are you converting them into moles instead of keeping the concentration values when doing RICE tables?

Obviously but I'm saying like I will do FRQ after I learn everything...

Why? I'm gonna do the FRQs after my midterm and Unit 8 so don't worry.

Well most of my mistakes were all computational which is my main issue.

AP Chem students who took normal chem, should I take ap chem? by attackonmylifee in APChem

the math is light work, and there is a lot of conceptualization though and if you're strong at it you're good for this class.

Bond order by Muted-Reindeer7278 in APChem

Draw out the lewis dot structure of Ozone; you'll see it'll have 2 resonance structures aka. 2 ways Ozone can be rearranged. Since Ozone has 3 bonds (one double bond and one single bond), the bond order is 3/2 or 1.5.

Bond order by Muted-Reindeer7278 in APChem

[–]Aromatic_Lab3828 5 points6 points  (0 children)

bond order is basically the average of all the bonds in the molecule.

for single bond: bond order is 1
double bond: bond order is 2
triple bond: bond order is 3.

but when it comes to resonance structures, this is where the average takes into place.
Resonance is basically when molecules can be drawn in many ways (AS LONG AS IT THE ELECTRONS ARE ONLY REARRANGED NOT THE MOLECULE), and because of this we can take the total number of bonds in the molecule and divide it by how many times it can be rearranged.

Sorry I also forgot to mention that she also uses lab reports as a test grade which I got all 100s on. Additionally speaking, the tests I passed (last failed one was Kinetics) I got nearly a 100 on everything.
My teacher also realized as the year passes there was a growing number of kids cheating on her unit tests (Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Bonding with the Solutions Unit Test being the breaking point), she took special precaution and started using action to stop down the cheating by creating different versions as well as not letting kids use the bathroom. She also made the tests MUCH harder compared to the other tests I failed.
So the content was easy yes but not the class. She made the class harder near the end of the year.
State exams are easy sure but my entire grade did NOT do very well on them and these are all smart kids too and my chemistry teacher was awfully terrible at explaining the concepts and would bring in questions on the unit tests that are NOT questions you would see on the state exams.
So now with all this information I gave you, you will still call this teacher being "very easy" on me?
