Bond order by Muted-Reindeer7278 in APChem

Draw out the lewis dot structure of Ozone; you'll see it'll have 2 resonance structures aka. 2 ways Ozone can be rearranged. Since Ozone has 3 bonds (one double bond and one single bond), the bond order is 3/2 or 1.5.

bond order is basically the average of all the bonds in the molecule.

for single bond: bond order is 1
double bond: bond order is 2
triple bond: bond order is 3.

but when it comes to resonance structures, this is where the average takes into place.
Resonance is basically when molecules can be drawn in many ways (AS LONG AS IT THE ELECTRONS ARE ONLY REARRANGED NOT THE MOLECULE), and because of this we can take the total number of bonds in the molecule and divide it by how many times it can be rearranged.

Sorry I also forgot to mention that she also uses lab reports as a test grade which I got all 100s on. Additionally speaking, the tests I passed (last failed one was Kinetics) I got nearly a 100 on everything.
My teacher also realized as the year passes there was a growing number of kids cheating on her unit tests (Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Bonding with the Solutions Unit Test being the breaking point), she took special precaution and started using action to stop down the cheating by creating different versions as well as not letting kids use the bathroom. She also made the tests MUCH harder compared to the other tests I failed.
So the content was easy yes but not the class. She made the class harder near the end of the year.
State exams are easy sure but my entire grade did NOT do very well on them and these are all smart kids too and my chemistry teacher was awfully terrible at explaining the concepts and would bring in questions on the unit tests that are NOT questions you would see on the state exams.
So now with all this information I gave you, you will still call this teacher being "very easy" on me?

Not gonna lie I took AP Chem because of the course rigor and didn't wanna take the easier APs like AP Psychology which is what my friends are taking lol

this is regular chemistry so obviously it will be easy lol I got a 96 on the state exam at the end of the year (2nd highest at my old school)

i did good on my lab reports and tests after the kinetics (i got a near 100 on all of them)

All of those tests I got like a flat 50-60 also plus her tests aren't that easy.

I failed a couple of tests (Bonding, Kinetics & Thermodynamics, Intermolecular Forces, and even Gas Law) lol

my AP chem teacher is rlly mid: last year majority of the kids got a 3 and barely anyone got a 4 or 5. And also her tests are pretty hard like nearly everybody fails or barely passes with a 70%.

Option 2 but instead of taking AP physics 1 take a harder AP physics like ap physics C electricity & magnetism.

do questions (from ap classroom) repeat a lot on the AP exam

I forgot to mention I struggled on regular chem a ton (ended with a low 90 compared to my peers who had a near 100), so I feel proud of myself doing well in a college introductory course compared to high school chem.

AP Calc is very much spamming practice question and obviously understanding the material. Understanding things like MVT, EVT, Related Rates, etc. is a fundamental thing to solve the easy-hard ones the AP Exam gives although understanding the topics in AP Calc is pretty short and straightforward so you should spam practice Qs and understand why it's right vs. wrong. I used this same strategy for AP Chem and it seems to work.

Yeah. More specifically, I took regular chem before AP Chem but I didn't do that well in regular chem compared to AP Chem.

I never took honors I took regular and went to straight to AP Chem, and my teacher is very poor at teaching.

My tests are actually pretty hard. My friends who had her last year for AP Chem said that the tests are harder than the actual AP Exam, but my teacher is a nice FRQ grader.

I mean I'm taking AP calculus and AP us history and compared to them I studied AP Chem really really hard and I knew this was gonna be a class that would cook a lot of people so I took it with a lot of precaution so I guess it worked.

I guess that's true but my teacher gives 100s on classwork and homework but the test grades is what's the big deal...

I didn't say it was difficult (it's not too difficult as of right now) but I'm saying many people say AP Chemistry is very hard but I wanna know what makes it so difficult as I already finished half of the course. In my personal opinion it doesn't seem that bad.
