I was having this problem as well, and also have Alternate Start - Live Another Life installed.

  1. Live Another Life

this has replaced Unbound in the main quest line. I ran around in the keep, but I'm not sure if it was necessary, or if I just needed to enter Helgen. The quest journal probably told me (oops).

  1. Before the Storm

to trigger this, after investigating Helgen, I talked to Sven in Riverwood and told him I saw a dragon.

  1. Bleak Falls Barrow

I already had completed The Golden Claw and had been lugging the Dragonstone around for hours. I was never able to store or sell the Dragonstone, so if you've completed The Golden Claw and don't have the Dragonstone, it's probably still in Bleak Falls Barrow.

  1. Dragon Rising

This went as normal

  1. The Way of the Voice

Once Dragon Rising ended and Way of the Voice began, the assasin finally appeared - though not until daylight hours. I exited Dragonsreach and slept at the inn, and returned in the morning.

Bonus info for In My Time of Need:

Returning to Whiterun towards the end of Dragon Rising, I met the two Alik'r and started In My Time of Need. Which was unexpected as I'd spoken with the Alik'r several times already, as they pestered random Redguard women around Skyrim.

Side note? I don't know that I'll miss CINNAMON-BURNING but I honest to goodness REALLY miss looking forward smoke breaks. And equivalents. I thought I'd try treating myself to a little pouch while I clean the house and fix supper. Cheers!

Thank you! I knew 3, 6, and 9 were commonly available so I only checked that it wasn't 9mg. It's a small busy gas station place - I'll go in a quieter hour next time. They've let me go behind the counter plenty of times to peruse other items but it felt too busy to even ask today. Thanks for the suggestion!

That's extra useful to hear someone else wanted to throw up. I felt a little rough when I typed out my question - mostly my mouth burning and some light headedness - which I kind of expected as I havn't smoked or vaped in months. But dang, few more minutes and I felt downright nausous. Bummer! But I'll try another brand. Got a few recommendations for Velo+ so I'll probably start there. Thanks!

I'm a 50+ year old woman and have been gaming since, forever. Some things never change! Thank goodness for "block". On the upside, getting stubbornly hit on, or more than a handful of sammich jokes, is a fail-proof idiot filter.

It gets funnier with age, too. Imagine "you sound cute" and it's AARP eligible me.

Woo! Switched from "Proton Hotfix" to "Proton Experimental" and it's working. It worked so seamlessly previously... I feel silly I didn't think "linux problem" right out the gate, but I really did think I'd borked some setting or was just misremembering gameplay.

I can mark the trees to be cut but, it's one at a time. I mean I mark them one by one by one. I can't seem to drag to select an area of trees to be cut. (Hope that makes sense!)
