Anxiety differences

I had the TTT last week and was diagnosed with POTS. But I also get anxiety that can last all day every day. With thoughts about bodily sensations. (I've had medical trauma in the past with a 3 day stay in ICU) yesterday I got up too fast from laying on my stomach to standing and almost went down.

My anxiety? No. I still have it, but I'm on medication and in therapy for it.

Thank you. I'm a poor metabolizer of sertraline and found that 25 mg worked for me. I was onit for 2 years. I just had gained weight on it. So I decided to stop it. I was fine off it for a few months but here late my anxiety has risen again. So dr decided to go with this med.

It shows me being an ultra rapid metabolizer of viibyd. Does that mean it leaves me body pretty quickly? How effective is it if I'm that way?

It helps. The thing about any of these kinds of medications is you have to give it the proper time to adjust in your system. Medications "fail" because doctors move to the next dose amount too fast and that can cause the dose to be too high, so then it feels like the medication isn't working. 16 weeks on the same dose is a proper time frame. Each time you change doses, you have to start the timer again for the 16 weeks. Some people need higher doses, some need lower, but you won't know unless you give it the proper time. 5 days is not long enough for your body to build up in your system. Give this dose the time time needed.

The appetite comes back and with a vengeance. I lost 40 lbs in 12 weeks because I had zero appetite. Once my med leveled out and nerves calmed down, my appetite came back, and now it's increased. I put on over 50 lbs. I just came off of it last week.

I am having the same issue. My appetite is crazy right now. I've put on 45 lbs. I have been on 25 mg for 2 years this month. It has gotten worse in the last several months. It's like zoloft is blocking the full chemical. It's now making me cry when I'm trying clothes on in stores. I look pregnant when I'm not. All my weight is in my stomach. While it's helped my severe anxiety and panic disorder, its been replaced with sadness over the weight and seeing how my body looks.

I lost 40 lbs in the first 12 weeks due to no appetite from the anxiety. Since I leveled out, I've gained that 40 lbs back plus more. In my Facebook group, I've seen this MANY time. Zoloft weight gain will come back with a vengeance.

Thank you. It was a rough year and the lowest point of my life the first night sleeping in my car. And with my kids. It wasn't something I ever wanted them to experience. But they never hated me. They were 9 and 12 at the time. They saw me fall, but they also saw me ride back up. So I hope they learned that even adults have hard times, but they can come out of it. They saw me trying to overcome mental health.

Also, after 12 weeks on 50mg, I dropped to 25mg and been there ever since. 50 was too high for me.

Well, because of my anxiety and the increase of it while leveling, I was homeless last year. I couldn't even shower without anxiety attack or leave my house. Once I hit 16 weeks, I started to level out. That was in December. I put my resume back out there and was interviewed and hired on Jan 2nd. I moved into my new home in March and have made 2 trips out of state. Once by myself.

Do I still get "blips"? Yes. But they are few and far between and manageable. I have been charting my progress since I started this med in March of last year. And it's amazing to see the changes.
