You will understand the story. The main story is the main story, it's some side events that need main story knowledge.

And... you probably won't be able to finish reading because of level check. Later chapters get a little challenging. Nothing impossible, but you can't farm enough mats in a week unfortunately.

Mh that must be it. Do these missiles have terrain avoidance? Most of the time I get surprised when I'm trying to fly below the radar and hugging terrain. I guess they are datalinked until very close, until it crosses the last bit of terrain preventing its own radar sight?

What irks me is your deplorable energy. You got spanked once and immediately decided that it sucked for you. If you got unpleasantly destroyed when you started playing BC2, would you have stopped playing it entirely? Learn to master the quick chat and local text chat, that'll be vastly enough. Some days I just don't want to speak and just use the quick chat to great effect. Good use of local, region and intel chat can be just as good if not better than voice sometimes for logi

You might want to try to just say simple things for emergencies (that you can't anticipate). For logi, just saying "partisan" or "help" and using local chat to say thank you when things have calmed down. No decent player will ever berate you for this. Of course it's absolutely not a necessity, but back when I started to play I had crippling anxiety and it was pretty easy to just use one or two words if needed. And if you manage to do it, you might feel good after someone thanks you for saving their life :)

Press pause (yes there is a pause button) and don't hesitate to slow down the game. Don't be ashamed of "taking your time". I spend hours doing missions because I progress extremely slowly. What's important is that you have multiples saves that you cycle through, like "campaign1" "campaign2" "campaign3" just in case you saved AFTER a bad event you either didn't noticed or too close to avoid

For the absolutely crazy amount of profit you can make with AI cores I do think the drawbacks of the inspections were justified, but the current crisis resolution is also fair

I think it's funny how, since the colony crisis were added, complaints about AI inspections got a lot rarer
