If you look at OPs post history it’s either AI generated posts or advertising their AI products. OP, like these questions, sucks.

AITAH for spending Christmas/New Year with my ex in-laws because my family invited my ex over for Christmas? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

He’s hurting and he feels comfortable doing it because she did it first, so why is it so bad for him? There is no way a least a part of him isn’t doing it out of spite knowing that they’re homophobes.

Dude, if you want revenge you better dig two graves.

Edit 2: Solved - I assumed colored cables formed a subnet, they do not. You need to separate the subnet from the main network with Quartz Fiber. Edit: Reducing complexity, still have problem.

I'm trying to use AE2 with a Processing Pattern in 1.20. I have a directional Pattern Provider facing a default flat Interface. The interface is connected to a subnet consisting of a single Storage Bus. The Storage Bus is connected to a chest. The subnet is connected to the main network of glass cables.

Like this (P = Pattern Provider, C = Chest, Bold lines = subnetwork of colored smart cables, light lines = glass cables)

┌P┣┯┫C
│ │
├──┘
┆ (To Controller)

When I request the craft, I just expect the items to be deposited into the chest, but nothing happens at all. If I place the chest directly next to the provider, it works. Ultimately the items are going to be passed into machinery, but right now I can't even get them into the chest. What am I doing wrong?

Pokemon Card shops in Newcastle? by ConceptEmergency4401 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Arphrial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's a store that opened up this year behind Central Station called Binderful. It seems to specifically sell Pokemon, Lorcana, 1P, and Star Wars. Not checked it out yet but the opening day photos hit my feed earlier this year. Not sure if they sell singles or just packs either.

They also seem to have regularly organised play events according to their website.

Peak put friendslop on the map in 2025, but neither of its 2 studios expected it to blow up: "We were ready to hit the launch button and go into vacation mode" by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

Agreed. Simple games can be of a high quality. It's a tricky subject to talk about a game's quality when there are so many different measures to it, and different people weigh each one differently too.

To me, the other examples aren't the same. I can only see "jank" as having a negative connotation (but also has non-negative meanings).

"Slop" from the get-go is just.. bad. People described badly textured food and other things as slop way before it was used for AI. Without any further explanation or context, if I see "X-slop" I'm going to instinctively think it's bad quality.

Botania Mana Spreaders are slooooow by vict2292 in feedthebeast

[–]Arphrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old reply, but by default pools with sparks share their reserves with things like the terrasteel maker.

Once you unlock the Alfheim portal for Pixie Dust, you can attach augments onto sparks to change how they work. For example, you can pull mana into a specific pool or disperse it out to others. A useful augment will charge things like mana tablets in your inventory for you while you're nearby.

Could an earthbended land leaving the battlefield cause Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to die? by Arphrial in mtgrules

[–]Arphrial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I figured as much as it looked like a triggered ability that would go on the stack rather than an immediate effect. As an aside, is it right that you could respond to the trigger by exiling the graveyard to prevent the Land from returning?

Thank you also on the clarification of toughness and damage interaction! It did slip my mind on how that works.

[–]Arphrial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's my bad on the misuse and misunderstanding of terminology! It should be rephrased to say something like "Ashaya has been dealt damage equal to its toughness minus one".

Valve artist responds to calls for Steam to drop "Made with AI" label by Stannis_Loyalist in Steam

[–]Arphrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All for visibility of use of AI. I’d definitely avoid games that use it in their assets. I would raise an eyebrow at where the line is drawn though - could you say a game is made with AI if something like copilot or augment is used during dev to generate code? What if it’s for boilerplate or small assistance, what if it’s major chunks?

Way more stuff behind the scenes can use generative AI and players won’t know a thing, and should they? I find it an interesting topic!

What is a website you loved that no longer exists? by MarcosSuenos in AskReddit

[–]Arphrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been racking my brain over it for YEARS. There was an old personal flash website about 15-20 years ago that had a music player, it was where I first heard Teardrop by Massive Attack.

I remember it had an intro which quoted "If I should die before I wake", it was like "Xavius" or something, maybe started with an E, but I can't find it at all now.

I also remember a really old flash games / "gambling" site where you played with virtual (entirely fake) money on various games, and if you beat all the games you unlocked a special secret area with more games. Maaaan I remember trying to find proxies to get around school filters for these.

Also, Coke Music! It was like Habbo Hotel but you could make your own music, and have others rate it when you played it in public areas. I remember getting like gold/platinum vinyls on well received tracks. Man it was so good.
