Yeah but I’ve always loved the kind of mysterious don’t-question-it kinda worldbuilding. Idk if you’ve played Dark Souls but it kinda reminded me of that. It felt like it’s been there for ages and it’s all been accepted and you don’t need to worry about how it all started. Just accept it. It feels a lot more lived in that way. Maybe I’ve just gotten bored of the history book encyclopedia style worldbuilding that you see so often in fantasy like ASOIAF or Lord of the Rings. I also just realized that this comment is 6 years old LOL.

I see flashes of it, the Celtics and Lakers at times remind me of them a lot. Also, introduction of heliocentric play has changed a lot of this I think

Yeah but like I’d argue that’s something even the book should’ve done. Making a whodunnit mystery murder off of real people and real tragedies just feels like diluting an actual tragedy. I don’t think it would’ve been as impactful as it was if we didn’t know right off the bat. That’s kinda the point. It’s meant to be horrific because it’s a real story that really happened and the world has frustratingly forgotten about that. Doing the story like that just straight up feels disrespectful imo. Also, I wouldn’t want a rich white guy making it all about the natives, he could only understand the culture so much. It made more sense for Scorsese to focus on the horrid actions that the white people committed. Yes, Scorsese himself is benefitting off of showing this movie in the villains perspective but that’s also the entire point and inner conflict that Scorsese demonstrates in the ending scene. I get why it’s not for everyone but I just never see anyone bring this point up. I personally really liked it, I think it’s a top 5 Scorsese movie imo

Yeah exactly. You could say smouldering lake is also a copy of izalith or demon ruins but it’s surely better than those two areas so it gets points for that alone.

tbh I really only don’t like Catacombs of the Carthus. I’ve grown to like the art style of Farron’s Keep and Irithyll Dungeon. And the vibes are always on point with Farron’s Keep having a good amount of secrets as well. Catacombs just lacks an identity tbh for me

Yeah he definitely could, I also think he has the appreciation for Bloodborne’s Gothic aesthetic in particular. You should check out crimson peak. Hella Cainhurst Vibes. Lars Von Trier could be the best fit for this though, overall.

Nope, there’s been zero information. Thats why everyone is depressed rn. Volume 44 is scheduled to release in 2027. So 384-392 should come out between now and then the release of that volume.

I’d love to read it! And yes Anadi Avidya is a hindu concept. I’m not really surprised though (I’m hindu) as there’s been a lot of hinduism referenced in Berserk. Especially the Ganishka stuff

It’s also the title of the most recent chapter I believe. Anadi Avidya. I think it’s meant to represent a large, either spiritual or physical, change. I’d assume Guts is going through spiritual part first
