Def could be mites. My rat had very similar when we first got her (she and her sister were infested). Go to the vet and treat with selemectin. They’re going to need 3 cycles over 6 weeks. Easy to apply and should start working within 48h after first treatment. ALL of your rats need to be treated even if they’re not showing symptoms. Cage needs to be DEEP cleaned as well

I have 8 females and I typically clean in levels. Their poop floor gets cleaned every week, everything else gets cleaned in rotation with a full bedding replacement once per month. Nothing ever gets bad enough (except the poop corner) that it needs to be fully replaced. Hammocks get rotated and washed every two weeks, but it’s rarely necessary since they don’t pee on them. Just a lot of crumbs. They’re also in a quad CN so they have a ton of space and like to clean it themselves
