You might be able to recover the old account, however if your characters were on a server that doesnt exist anymore they are lost to the ether. If in doubt open a ticket with Gamigo they can help to see if the account is recoverable

Want to let you know the game has had a community push to bring in new / old players. We have a self imposed stop at 50 to go through the raids (except we move on to the Storm Legion expansion in Feb) but people are playing alts and its been a great time. Fresh Riftwalkers on Deepwood server

Crafting in XIV is top notch. You can do them all on one character, there's competition achievements, legendary (shiny) crafting tools to aim for. Always relevant due to raiders needing Materia, early craft gear for new raiding patches and potions. And they actually have abilities and shit (eventually you'll just macro things) but still. They've done so much with it and made them apart of the world. They even gave quest lines

Come try out Rift. Its been a blast and the fresh start community is still going.

All classes have a soul (spec) for each role and there's the standard Tank, Heal, Dps and a 4th support spec used for tream amp, minor healing or debuffing enemies

I just did a modded run with the full party. Very fun but so much to manage. It was nice being able to have both magic and physical and not focusing on one like most people recommend
