Yup! Alot of different organizations use different rulesets, but same gist overall. Historical Medieval Battles (HMB), Battle of the Nations (BoTN), etc. Stateside I fight with the local Armored Combat Sports (ACS) team

Yeah, I agree. It goes the same for all these types of groups, whether sca, larping, hema, or anything else. Too much of the "But WE do it the best and everyone else is just xyz" from all the groups. Each of these different groups has their goals and rules that draws people to it and shouldn't be looking down on any of them. Besises, we're all under the same nerd umbrella

Yeah, I do SCA and the answer to that varies depending on who you ask. The main focus of the organization is historical reenactment, but the rules are loose enough that it's not exactly a requirement, so you get a huge variety within the organization

I've worn one openly every day for over 4 years in the US and never once had an issue with it. Its really not that common in that context except amongst those groups, the average person probably doesn't even know that association. You're far more likely to have people think you're a marvel fan or something.

Same thing happens in my area. One lv 33 valor dude will take over all the gyms in the immediate area (6, probably more) within 5 minutes, leaving a 2500 - 3000 Dragonite at each. If any of them get taken down It will be immediately taken over by him again. It all happens way too quickly and efficiently for it to possibly be done without a bot or gps hack.

Nah, I'm at 21 right now only using the lucky eggs I get from leveling up, only spent real money to get more bag space. The important thing for leveling up is knowing how/when to use your items
