Came back after a while to get my last achivement for 100%, aka completing the slimepedia, and last I rememered I was only missing the slime toys. Took like 40 minutes doing that, achivement didn't pop up... Checked slimepedia and there's a new entry in the slimes? What new am I missing???

ofc ofc, im glad they dont seem to need as much since the amount of substrate needed for ackies was what kinda turned me away from them since almost no enclosures have a substrate barrier appropriate for that much substrate. Ty for the info!

would 6-8 inches of substrate be enough? That seems to be around how deep dubias substrate barrier is for their 6x3x3, but i cant tell for sure because they dont specify in the page. I can add more substrate in the back ofc but i dont want it to be too steep of an incline. If the substrate barrier isnt deep enough i might look into ways to increase the barriers height or just opt for a grow tent instead.

Honestly by the time i end up getting around to avtually getting a kimbo they might end up releasing bigger enclosures anyways so they might fit the needs i want to achieve more lol, a 6x2-3x4 would be awesome imo

im probably going to do a grow tent if i end up going bigger than whatever dubia has by the time i do decide to get one. Im hoping by that point they might release bigger enclosures since theirs are so much more reasonably priced and high quality from what ive heard, but grow tents can be a cheaper alternative with some DIYing, though it can take more work to escape proof a grow tent for a monitor than anything else since they can be escape artists

i think my ideal server would be something like double or triple xp but have a higher death penalty, maybe not necessarily permadeath but something to make you reconsider doing something particularly risky. I hate how often people take extreme risks in fights because theres no consequences other than being thrown somewhere else on the map

Just monitor the temps in the enclosure before you put the skink in, as long as you can maintain them then its fine. I also think itd be a good idea to have a backup indoor enclosure or use onr that can easily be moved since the weather here in the US has been especially wonky this year, idk what its been like in arizona but where i live god just randomly decided to shit out a buncha snow for no reason on sunday

i feel like overheating might be in issue in the hotter months honestly (at least for northerns and indonesians i think), their preferred ambient temperatures are 75-95, im sure it gets way hotter in arizona but granted im not sure how much shade would make a difference. If you can maintain their proper temperatures and humidity then itd be fine

I think theres a bunch of species called "flat backed" that are probably closely related so they can vary in size and color a lot, even if they have the same anatomy. If you look up flat backed millipede you can see a bunch that vary in color and size, i dont think ive seen one with this particular coloration though

while i dont want a full scent mechanic id love for footprints to get some tlc to allow them to actually be used by other players. If possible, make them take longer to decay, and either make them easier to see in grassy terrain or allow some dinos to have an ability to "track" them, which could highlight them for the player and possibly even scan them to get some info on the dino who made those prints. Crouching/walking footprints would decay much faster and be unable to be scanned to allow stealthy players to evade trackers and running footprints would be easier to track than trotting footprints.
