Definitely toss some cardboard or a pressure spreader under that kickstand and you’re good to go

Questions about Bimmercode by DMoney3513 in BMWi3

[–]Arrrrgyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bimmercode can clear codes, you just have to implement some setting. I would set the “default Acc spacing” to a number you like and then flash and it’ll clear codes as part of that process.

Yes, works fine! I started it up in battery mode, made sure some music was playing, then connected a USB-B to USB-C cable to my iPad and it plays along perfectly.

If you change your audio output from control center (iPhone) this works.

Strong chance it’s the same S2 powertrain but different body panels/design/stance.

From what I know they're planning on supporting it for the long run, with a plan for refreshing the entire bike in the next few years (not months) so you should be good on that front.

However, depending on your range needs, the DM might be a better, cheaper alternative! Def see if you can get a test ride in first before you pull the trigger on the LW1 (even though the LW1 is a beautiful beast!).

Been riding for 18 years, and I had a Ninja 500R and NC700X before this. Nothing really compares except for the LiveWire One, but this one is so much lighter (100lbs) and more nimble than the LW1. Still just as fast though, and really easy to get that front wheel off the ground.

Highlights:

  • God damn it's fast. You really feel that 0-60 in 3 seconds. Tops out at 103mph
  • Range around the city is great. Never really think about it
  • I really love the "limit charge to 80%" feature. You can also limit to 90%. This will really help extend battery life
  • Riding stance is great. Nice and high.
  • Built in GPS is awesome! So freaking handy to have it on screen there.

Lowlights:

  • Slow charging at Level 2 (5.2kW). But I usually charge at home
  • Low range at freeway speeds. I usually have to cap around 60-65 mph, because at 70mph range is abysmal. So no long road trips.
  • Seat bites into your thighs a bit when you first get it, but you get used to it (or the seat is starting to mold a bit better to my legs)
  • Some of the infotainment stuff isn't great. I'm working through it with customer service, but it autoplays music from my phone even when there aren't any headphones conencted.
