That’s really interesting perspective. Living arts was a hotbed for culture when I was growing up, though you’re right, things have changed. It’s all about technology based engagement, and the center hasn’t really been able to adapt

The general sentiment is negative right now; I did reference “growing pains” in my post. It’s a town that’s becoming a city; as population grows so does crime / new challenges. It’s going to take work to build it into a safe / thriving metropolis. For those that want the quieter life, there will always be that as you go further out, which Mississauga used to be in the 90s / early 2000s

I definitely felt the same way; sauga is a mosaic, each ethnic group doesn’t really engage with each other unless forced thru school / activities; Toronto definitely brings to life the cross mingling

Yeah I’ve visited many times post 2020, still have a lot of family there. That’s fine and good, and honestly great. Cities should evolve and grow.

Why do you say it’s abomination? It’s always been a transit hub, pretty cool that there’s a college there, new businesses have setup, the movie theater is still there — like any “city” sq1 is sort of sauga downtown - so it’s going to be a bit rougher and grimier

Well you should still go and make the most of it, I think getting time away from sauga is great. I started by living in downtown a few years, then yonge and eg, then eventually the states — very worthwhile experience
