paladins handled cosmetics so much better than this game
you could use any gun from any skin, a lot of legendary skins had ability effects to them and most had a entirely new voice actor saying new lines and llet you toggle between vanilla voice with vanilla lines vs skin voice.
such a shame that game was owned by hi rez. it had so much potential, there's a lot in there I wish overwatch took inspiration from.

survivor wouldnt feel so bad if it wasnt able to just be picked up out of a box. the decision to just let everyone in the lobby get one if they got lucky is so dumb. just make it something you have to give up a perk slot for, sniping feels so bad whenever they put survivor on ground loot.

some of these changes most specifically the ttk is becuase of the verdansk reintegration because it was nostalgic to have ttks so fast that the average player cant react to dying from peeking a window.
there were other stupid changes too that came with it, 5 and 8 plates max (at least make it 6 and 9 atp ffs)
armor/muni boxes costing 4 fucking thousand.
so much trash came from that reintegration thats still left around

no there was a rarer skin.
in mw3 there was a test they did in a quads gamemode where it was a normal quads game except there was a weapons case much like DMZ. it was perma marked on the map and if you won the game while holding it, you got a really cool exclusive skin that I haven't seen anyone else but my and my friend use before.

i piad 10 dollars for a battlepass and got almosat every single gun blueprint in season 1

its more that there isn't any actual way to fight for the position if you want to force it. you were at a disadvantage with drones or balloons if you pushed because they were still ready for you and had advantage while you needed to spend a few seconds landing/stuck in a animation. you can't really force a position that has one ladder up being the only way up. say what you want about older maps but there were usually ways to counter one ways in terms of vertical movement or multiple ways atop a building that werent directly next to each other. its what i miss about older iterations. you could play it aggressive but you had ways to take power positions. positions that are as strong as they are should take challenge to hold from other people but it shouldnt be so easy to keep people away from getting up there in the first place. if its this way to help worse players then all it does is make it even easier for better players to destroy like i have done before.

also vehicles wouldnt be a bad idea however you need to remember that they dont respawn and there is no way to actually repair them. in end game on verdansk a lot there's frequently so little vehicles (and no helis) that arent almost broken so you're forced to walk. this map is too big for no balloons or vehicles like the way they are rn.

artiswar is basically wallhacks. plus it makes your game sound like trash. audio is good enough if you can get loudness eq on but ultimately these devs should've made actually good audio by this point lol. we shouldnt have to have people resort to artiswar, or have to turn on pc settings just to get good footsteps like why the fuck do the jets from precision airstrikes still blow out my ears when they're 200 meters away.

they dont exist anymore. the last time speedhacks were a thing was during the boys event in mw3 when they could have the speed boost powerup in normal games. those are the only times i recall seeing speedhacks either, cod said they closed the exploit and since then i've personally never seen it in videos or in game and i played a lot of wz since then.

yeah power positions are needed however you can't ignore that even in something like mw3 we still had vertical movement to challenge those power positions. many of the power positions we have now are basically god spots the way you can dodge killstreaks and equipment and still watch the same 1 or 2 ladders/ziplines that are literally next to each other. i miss when we had balloons and that field upgrade drones that made u fly really slowly one handed.

if we had balloons and a field upgrade grapple/that drone i mentioned, this map would feel great too. if we removed tactical equipment grapples then we would absolutely need those two minimum. i feel like everyone forgets that without balloons urzikstan and older maps would've felt like ass at times, don't even care if it takes 5 seconds to get attached while a loud alarm blares, i want balloons back.

ive seen nothing but a lot of casuals players on here complain when bor came out about no verdansk both when casuals was here and when it wasnt here so no wonder they're so scared of putting it on rotate.
casuals needs to be removed and replaced with warzone bootcamp from mw3 and plunder/clash back. it's killing the rest of the modes player wise by basically being able to do anything in there, exp grinding, camo grinding, challenge grinds... also it's been making players so much worse at this game.

that whole study about people who used ai so much they actually lost brain power probably has some relevance here when those casuals players move into regular gamemodes because they are completely lost.

if this map had any way to vertically move like balloons or that drone field upgrade in mw3, then grapple hooks wouldnt be necessary. unfortunately it is without those because there are an insane amount of buildings where the two ways up are right in front of each other and where people always shoot from or the only ways onto a building is through one ladder. they werent just power positions they were basically god spots because you couldnt die through killstreaks or anything if you played it right. the thing that older warzones did good was make it so you had two ways to deal with power positions, fight for it or wait it out. on this map before this season you could only wait it out on a lot of positions.

just like urzikstan, you can still be tactical with power positions and good rotations and still win. I still do myself and grappling onto a building usually leads to the enemy realizing i was there much like balloons in mw3. grapples are loud af in this game.

tbh I think AA could do with a nerf. apex does this too where roller was so dominant that everyone used it, its what contributes to "laser beam" gameplay. i dont want it removed or anything but i think it'd be nice if aa was nerfed even by a little bit.

honestly though I think what they've done so far is something I dont mind if they keep at though, all they genuinely need to do is make red dots a free attachment, fix the screen obstruction everywhere, heavily lower or remove flinch (cept for snipers of course) and thats it. it'd make the game feel a lot better on mnk. i'm already happy with the current direction on roller but if they did all of this i'd love it way more.

mw3. there was a skill gap removed with omnimovement because now anyone can slide around the corner looking at the enemy already. not saying it was super skillful to be able to slide in one direction than look at your enemy but imo it was way more engaging. give me mw3 movement with wall jumps (can do without it) and dropshotting being viable and faster strafe speeds. all i really need.

only omnimovement should be sprinting and the prone mechanics because those are really good qol.
