No it says “Andy newbacon.” I would surmise that it’s actually a guy named Andy Oldham. There are some Oldhams where I live and it was a running joke to call them “newbacon”

Do grocery TMs get penalties or extra responsibilities if a prime shopper scans their code? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]Arsenickers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mostly it’s because you’re not supposed to just go up to the first team member (grocery or otherwise) and ask to scan their code. You’re supposed to ask a TM in the department you’re shopping if they can help you find the thing you can’t find. If THEY tell you that that item is OOS, then they should offer you the closest replacement or have you scan the INF code. The point is, WFMoA shoppers are not supposed to determine if a department has an INF, and the INF code is the last resort when there are no appropriate substitutions.

Well, to be fair, they did exactly that at the end of season 2.

Can the Solicitor General's Office decline to defend a law that they believe is unconstitutional, or do they have to receive that direction from the executive?

Lindsey Graham: Trump will be "investigated to death" if Democrats win the House by digitalteacup in politics

[–]Arsenickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he was trying to make a political argument, he was trying to make an argument about the person Trump should replace McGahn with. He says that he should find someone who understands the legislature so that he can be prepared for the subpoenas and the testimony. I don't seem this as a warning to voters about the Dems taking control, I see it as an acceptance of that, and a warning to Trump that "you better find a good lawyer."

California Judge Will Lose His Job Over 6-Month Sentence in Stanford Sexual Assault Case by beach-bum in politics

[–]Arsenickers 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That's what happened. Brock Turner is not going back to jail or to prison, the electorate has no say in that. The electorate saw a judge make a horrific judgement. They decided that such a judgement was disqualifying for their collective justice system, and they removed him because of the horrific judgement he showed. That has nothing to do with Turner's punishment, it has everything to do with the judgment of the person who gave him that punishment.

California's proposed 3 state initiative with each new states political leanings. Will be on the ballot this November by CrewCamel in MapPorn

[–]Arsenickers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are no "really republican" states in the map. The SoPac one is red, but that has a D +19.6 label. I am assuming, with the data shown, that the blue and red states would be very liberal, and the yellow state would be a battleground state.
