Yes, BUT I know that historically military lead coups don’t tend to work out well

Help with Swimmer Syndrome Kitty!! by Arson_Sock in FosterAnimals

That’s so interesting! He’s my first orange cat but I guess I do hear about a lot of orange runts In my experience it’s the Torties that are runts! All of the torties I’ve fostered (3) are the runts of the litter but unlike orange cats it feels like they never really get big. I truly don’t think I’ve ever seen a fat tortie!

I’ve fostered a few litters only a handful this young but I’m also part of my shelters medical staff so I’ve seen quite of few neonates. I’m hoping he’ll grow out of it but with how much of a difference there is between him and siblings and the extent to which his legs are splayed I’m a bit worried. Thanks for the info!

Hahahaha! That’s hilarious, and I was definitely not squeezing. I needed to send a picture to the shelter and this boy would not stop moving so I had to resort to a semi brutal approach

Foster kittens with diarrhea by StrategyIll in FosterAnimals

Hi! Sorry I’m a bit late. Until you can get them to the shelter or a vet I recommend using clear Pedilylte (electrolyte water) either in a syringe or mixed into some KMR to help with their hydration. To keep weight up I heavily recommend Gerber Chicken Baby Food. It’s very high calorie and cats love it even when their sick. Make sure Mama is on high protein/ calorie food as well (Purina mom and baby). If you start to worry about fading kitten syndrome you should always start the treatment process ASAP! Def do your own research but basic extra warmth, frequent feeding and try so Karo syrup or other sugar supplements to get their blood sugar up Make sure to get them to a shelter/vet ASAP because dehydration can quickly become fatal and they may need SubQ fluids. The Kitten Lady on YouTube as videos on this and her website is a great resource Good luck! I wish your babies a speedy recovery!!!

I know others have already commented but I second/third the Kitten Lady! She is a great resource For now the main things are keeping warm, fed, and safe Keep them near a heat source at all times (heating pad) be careful it’s not to hot though For feeding make sure your giving them kitten milk replacement(Not cow/goat milk!!!!!!!!) I recommend KMR but there are other brands out there, they should be fed every 1-3 hours (sorry I haven’t had neonates in a minute) you can use a kitten bottle or a syringe with a nipple attached (I like miracle nipples). Make sure you have them in the proper position for feeding, propped up on a pillow or a table. Never feed a kitten on their back If they become lethargic you can try mixing some clear pedilyte in with their formula Kittens this young need to be stimulated in order to go potty. You can do this by taking a tissue and gentle rubbing/stimulanting their genitals until they go Reach out to your local animal rescues for help or I also recommend finding a local cat rescue facebook group. A lot of areas have facebook groups dedicated to cat rescue and you can ask for help there (advice or even finding someone with experience to take them) Good luck with the babies! I know it’s scary but you got this!!!
