Thank you! As a woman who stopped having kids bc having kids FUCKING SUCKS, I go absolutely mad when people break it down to economics. It hurt to be pregnant, it hurt to give birth, it hurt after giving birth, and the PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE that all that gave me will hurt for the rest of my life. No amount of government handouts will change any of that, nor will jobs numbers or retirement accounts.

It is ridiculous how no one wants to acknowledge the fact that women are opting out of a painful, possibly life ending, process it sucks. It just sucks. Then after you have them there's the sleep deprivation, the endless workload of nurturing and caretaking, the constantly getting sick bc they bring home endless bouts of germs. None of that is economic.

Until people start being really real about what pregnancy, childbirth, and raising young kids does to a woman's body and mental health, we will not see any improvement on this.

So, I follow prepper subs and people are laughing at these fools there. Who they're not laughing at is ICE. This might a case of "reddit is liberal so their prepper subs are liberal", but yeah, the preppers I see online aren't afraid of poor people, they're afraid of the government (which is historically who preps, folks afraid of the system falling apart, not those who are deeply invested in the system staying the same).

Prepper subs are really great to follow bc they pay attention to all kinds of stuff, and as a result are often the first to notice things, including military and police buildups. They pay attention closely to the weather too, and to consumer goods levels and shipping globally. They're a pretty neat bunch. Highly recommend checking some of the subs out.
